Re: Please look before I buy

Personally I have had two of the trackstar 200a ESC's. One burnt out and one is still in use but every time I turn it on I have to do a throttle calibration. If your choosing between this one and the mamba xl2, I would go with the XL2. The brakes are not the best, though. For the same price or less ...

Yes. That ESC will work for 6s. Looks like they have already wired in the series connector. So, just plug in your two 3s batteries and your ready to go.

Re: Another Noob Build!

That ESC has the Heli firmware on it. All you will get is equivalent to drag brakes on a car ESC. I'm not sure if anyone has figured out how to change the firmware on these.

Re: Lipo reshaping [N00B question]

This is possible. I have taken many bulky 6s's and laid them flat. @cmatson is correct. You need to be extra careful because they will be glued or double sided taped together. Another thing to be careful about are the metal tabs connecting the cells together. Typically they are spot welded together ...

You may want to check with @psychotiller. He may have some on eBay or he could make a custom enclosure for you.

Easy Addition of USB Charging for 6s

Found this on Hobbyking's website: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... sb%20power

Looks like any easy solution if anyone wants to add a USB charger to their 6s set-up.

I wired it so I'm only using the balancing feature, I think. I can't for the life of me remember how, though. :?

As @psychotiller said, " He puts all of this cool stuff together in his sleep and never remembers how he did it!"

Re: Stary Wanna-Be Using Pediglides Single Hub Motor

This is the BMS/PCM I used: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/A-22-2V-PCM-Protection-Circuit-Module-For-6S-Li-ion-Li-Po-Battery-Current10A-SM519/32308029349.html I may have to take the board apart anyway. I think I wired the BMS incorrectly according to an eBay listing I found. :?  So, I'...

Re: Stary Wanna-Be Using Pediglides Single Hub Motor

That looks like a bamboo board I got from Amazon. It was cheap. Very flexible. How did you make the bottom, is it carbon and epoxy ? Can u open it up ever!? Very nice Thanks! I believe it is an 8 ply maple board. Not very flexible until I routed out the center. Then I put two layers of carbon fiber...

Stary Wanna-Be Using Pediglides Single Hub Motor

So I tried to copy Stary, kinda. The board doesn't look that great from the bottom but it's pretty thin. I used six of the single cell 5000mah from HobbyKing with a BMS. I've only hit 25mph, so far, but there is definitely more throttle to be had. It's only 12.2lbs and I can get about ten miles per ...
