Re: Bionx G! and G2 compatibility help needed

Problem probably is communication compatibility. Bionx use to have close source systems, so the battery BMS need to send data to the controller to be used with. Multiple users have report the same difficult when they want to exchange cells on the battery or use another one.

Re: SODIUM-ION 18650 BATTERIES ?

The improvement is basically in energy/cost ratio and savy-cost and easy production. Their discharge rate is medium and their energy density low. A good solution for enormous and cheap static energy container installation

Re: Hub motors or Normal Motors

At that size window there are not so many choices on the hub side. Hub's simplify the drive propulsion and could make a very good efficiency but with higher cost and less options to use the wheels you like. The dual motor configuration should have a greater mass and volume, so the heat dissipation s...

Re: Old Kronik Boardz problem

For the side of the battery it could make a similar symptom if it is unbalancing, so you could have some series under-voltage that could make a great voltage drop that makes the BMS or ESC cut-off. For a first test you could let the battery plugged 24h extra after charged so the balancing circuit fr...

The opus BT-C3100 charger/analyzer do a quick IR test in a pair of seconds based on a load and the voltage drop. It is acceptable precise to have an idea of the cell status

Re: Replacement 10s bms with 13s bms

All the balancing wires need to be connected, those 3 missed connections will make the BMS think that 3 series are under-voltage, so there won't be output power through discharge port. There are some boards customizable in the number of series used, but not that ones. It is not common to have cuts j...

it looks really good for an easy installation, and a good cost. What it make me doubt is this statement: Drive system has no moving chains or gears, no friction, more efficient, less chance to break! It could be interpreted as that this is a direct drive system, where indeed it is made with gears/cl...

I've done the test once again but this time with salt, vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. You can see the result in the pictures. The two small ones (0.1x5mm) are the same and pure nickel, the big one (0.15x8mm) has an area that under the liquid it rusts but when I pull it out the rust washes away. And...

Re: Li-ion charger modification. More amps is possible?

Ahead current capabilities in general it is a battle against heat. The transformer should hold up to 120ºC during operation, the capacitors are marked as 105ºC, these two are the ones that generate more heat and more likely to fail. Should be limited to 12A, do you really get 14A? Once running, the ...

Re: Replacing dead SLAs with Lithium battery

the most important thing is to keep the similar voltages. I see you controller and batteries work at 24V. If want to use a lithium-ion battery you need to install a 7s (25.2Vnom 29.4Vmax) in that case voltages are pretty similar you could even use the same charger because it will cuts at 29.4V. If t...

so slowly I think the error is not on the battery, the charger.... the charger can also short-circuit and not cutoff. Charge charge up to overload. Thanks for all the ideas... Yes they have different windings options. Are not shown in the serial numbers, they put a stick to indicate 36V / 48V and 20" to 29" wheel, depending of that sticks are made the winding options. Ask the supplier about how much speed do you want at full throttle at a given voltage. EG: "I need 20kph ...
