Re: Duff BMS?

Just received my 30A 10S BMS and noticed something seems to be missing. Is it supposed to be like this or is it faulty? http://www.yorkshirepages.com/auctionpics/bms.JPG That is the reason You should check BMS before conecting adn wrapping. I'm sure it was bad soldered and fall. It has happened to ...

Re: izip motor question

Brake dIsc mount bolts should be on the left side. Have You tested the 36 different combinations on phase and hall wires? A hub motor can spin smooth in both cloclwise, counter clockwise. Just one combination of that 36 is right for each direction.

I would buy all the leavers, throttle, and similar stuff on Aliexpress. I have a question for You. Where are You going to buy the Mxus 3000W? Because it's a not an easy choice in EU.

By the way flawless build !

Re: Bottle mount 48V 14.5AH w/ NCR18650B -last at 25A?

Because the speed, and specs of these two cells, I would go clearly on the panasonic. It is very important to know what kind of BMS is installed in that bottle battery. I would use a 15A or 20A continuous BMS, panasonic NCR18650B are a beast and will work at a very efficient rate until 5A.

Re: Samsung 25R/LG 18650HE2/ Sony VTC5 high power 18650 batt

Well due of space problems I can't use holders. It is really necessary to use isolators between the cells? What is the big purpose of this? I mean if one cell is shorted, other cells in parallel connection will also be shorted.... If You mean anode isolators, that avoid individual cell short circui...

Those prices are a steal in my opinion. You can build the same in less than 8 hours by yourself at 1/3 the price. If You want to buy a finished battery pack in the EU there are not honest/rasonable price vendors known yet. There are some aliexpress/ebay sellers that have real brand high quality lowc...

I have a Stealth Fighter. Since new, if I run with the wheel off the ground, testing, it exhibits what I consider to be excessive shaking at the higher RPMs. Recently, I replaced the stock rim and tire with a good quality motorcycle rim and tire. I trued the rim to within .008 tolerance for both ru...

Has anybody converted a brake lever to work as a throttle? We use to replace thumb throttles on jet ski's with finger throttles. I found you had a better grip on the bars and only needed one finger for throttle control which always seemed less tiring. I know they were cable controlled, not electric...

Re: First build 18650. Need some advise.

Thanks Nobuo Looks like its back to the workshop. The cells are spot welded in pairs (2P) using strips like you used. There is a balance wire on each pair that has a long extra long piece of strip that could be used to solder them together without heating the cell at all. If the pack went bad, I co...

Re: Soldered 18650--better for high-current applications?

Think in this way, when spot welding nickel strips, You can spot weld thicker strips or add as much layers as you want increasing the diameter conductor, When iron soldering is almost the same. The only numbers You should take into account is that nickel strips are 4 times higher electrical resistan...

you have to break the pack to open the pack. Never know what's inside samsang nmc or LG nca. I think. Who cares you own it. It is what it is. You can't order nca or nmc and you break it open you void a 2yr. warranty. Not good. Low amp draw motor, so battery should last if not played with. Replaceme...
