Re: Sparta Ion after adding halls running rough.

Either placed in incorrect slot or too far away from magnets.

They need to be in the slot at airgap height normally but you can sometimes get away with less optimal placements

Re: Bosch performance line adding halls

That’s odd. The 120 degree placement is ok, it’s not the issue. I think problem could be using the wrong sensors and/or location so there’s a large hysteresis. Ss411 honeywell have worked well for many here including me. 413 is less sensitive, higher hysteresis. Try the location also, it seems too f...

Seems like a kid trolling. Searched all threads where I posted (not even my threads) and posted this same thing everywhere, revenge kind of deal. Seems like created the account for the trolling purposes. 6 posts from this user total on the forum and all the same thing. Thank goodness I didn't sell ...

But was that the 90 motor?

I’d rather go 13/80 on the 90H motor than switch to 70H with internal gear for same torque.

Re: MX BIKE CONVERSION

Still less noisy than double reduction i’d say! There is data on the axle and key in the 3000w mid drive thread. What you can do easiest is to bolt or weld a sprocket on the outside of the 14t (or turn it/grind it down so you can keep the sideways position of the sprocket) to make a mounting for the...

I’ve run the 96600 also.. how much did you pay for the 961000?

I’d like to see any documentation you get, pics and more data when you have it. Might be useful for a moto conversion

Re: bms per votol em150sp

The Votol 150 is a great match when it works but it is not 100% stable, some users have gotten issues but since QS honours the warranty i still think it's a good choice. Kelly on the other hand.. KLS controllers are not good. I've personally had five stop working and i did not get warranty replaceme...

Re: bms per votol em150sp

Forget the bms numbers. You program the setting you want to have. 300A bms will be capable, have lower voltage drop and less heating. Again: bms should only cut current during critical overcurrent condition or critical low voltage. Since your cells are speced to take 20A peak (then your 12P battery ...

Re: bms per votol em150sp

Yes, that would be about ok if your motor can take it. 72x150 is close to 11kW

All controllers need a precharge when connecting battery. I just leave battery connected so the precharge is not part of my system

Re: bms per votol em150sp

I reread your post and i see a possible problem: why is the old pack built with so many parallell cells? Could be current capability of the cell is much lower than in the spec. Therefore I think your cells might not be capable of enough current in 12p but only way of knowing is to test it. If you te...

Re: bms per votol em150sp

It’s as simple as 12*12.5A, normally a bit more for short bursts current (12*20A in this case) so you can probably use 150-200A. Current is not supposed to be regulated by bms except for during fault condition, it is regulated by setting in controller. A BMS shutdown can sometimes damage controller ...

Re: bms per votol em150sp

Votol em150 and qs138 70h can take 300A battery for some time so you’d need a better cell if you want to push the 90h motor. 20s30p battery like you'd need is 600 cells and will be too large for most bikes or even motos. I’d instead buy a used automotive pack or build a pack with one of the new 2170...

Ok, then difference will not be so high but the votol would still be more poweful since it is unlocked. I have used mine at 300A battery current for a while.

The ebs is triggered regen so you need switch.
The hhc hdc is release throttle regen (never tried it)

If you read the text, think it was 3.7.4 or something then there is explanation on regen. Did you read it?

I never tried a sabvoton but roughly 500 phase amps for the votol vs 200 (if that’s phase current) is a clear difference.

Re: Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

Well, either your controllers are busted or you’re not connecting properly. Just set regen value and hook up 12v supply through a brake switch to the correct pin and voila.

It’s in the manual if you have reading skills😀

Thanks to global warming my lakes almost never freeze anymore. Damned southern sweden, you can just cut away 4 months in the calendar since the winters are so useless.
