Re: Chinese controller to power chinese motor

The 72V is not the problem. It's the amps that will heat up the motor. So if you dial down the amps then it should run fine on 72V. What is your intended outer tire diameter and needed top speed?

Re: Powerd wheelchair build

If you want to keep things budget friendly why not try to find a second hand lightly used mobility scooter or electric wheelchair with dead batteries? And then convert it to your needs?
Building an electric wheelchair with reliable control (steering with the powered wheels) is a challenge...

Just bought a BBS02B kit with the 850C display. Posting this comment so I can find this thread back more easy. I'll read the thread soon to see if it can be helpfull to me when I have mounted the kit to my bike.

Re: Electric motors in the 100-500€ range and buying them in Europe

Thanks, slowco, I haven't seen a 3 kW version of that motor yet. I am a bit vary, because 230$ for motor, controller and accessories seems a little too good to be true. The seem to work fine: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=100331&start=25 https://endless-sphere.com/forums/vi...

If you not intent to compete in real downhill events and are a normal rider then just try them out and see what you think about them. And give an update here on how they perform.

They certainly don't look very cheap. And seem 'beefy' enough for a recreational rider. Try to google a manual?

Re: Electric motors in the 100-500€ range and buying them in Europe

The best I found on AliExpress that could match your requirements is the 3kW version of the motor you linked to: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/32956364535.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.3b812e0en6kGy9 If you choose to let them ship from the UK then shipping and taxes are included in the price. Ask them...

You have chosen to be rude and completely unhelpful in the meantime. Don't be so childish. As I read it you're the one that is rude, impatient and ignorant. Advising people not to buy this motor because yours "died" and not posting your question in a much more appropriate thread where users of this...

Re: Fat Bike build 500W TSDZ2 Middle Motor

Everything seems in order, but I do feel quite a long delay between the manually-applied pedaling torque and the assisted torque from the TSDZ2 motor, as compared to the newer Bosch pedal assist systems. Does anybody feel the same? Does not bother me too much, but would like to see if there are way...

Re: Need help with my big wheel scooter project

Your moped rim diameter is probably 16" but including those tires the total diameter is at least 20" or more. Then you need to calculate how many amps are needed to provide that speed by that motor.

Re: Need help with my big wheel scooter project

I am in possesion of MY1020 brushed motor 36V 1000W but it's my last option because it's noisy, bulky and and mounting is lot of work. Do you think that RC 6384 120KV motor could push 30+90kg of weight? That could be cheaper than a hub. Shipping for hubs is a killer from China to Serbia... And you ...

Re: Need help with my big wheel scooter project

If you want to do it on a budget then a mid motor could be an option. If you want to use a RC motor that spins around 4800rpm (120kV @ 40V) on a fully charged battery then you'll need to built a multi stage gearing to get to the right rpm for those wheels to go 30+ km/h. It can be done but I don't k...
