Re: Snapped fork dropouts

I think your torque arms are not on correctly. Should be mounted to back of fork instead of front. See: http://www.ebikes.ca/product-info/torque-arms.html

My guess is the CA is not configured properly. Do you have the manual? It's available online.

Try it without the CA, with the throttle directly connected to the controller.

Any possible way to ride with it against body, under coat or suit? I guess not so, due to the hard shape of the battery.

Re: What is the "Light Weight" go to "Hobby" Lithium packs

The cheap lipo alarms I had were so inaccurate at reading the individual cell voltages, 4-5 millivolts off on some if I remember correctly, that I got rid of them.

Why not ask the vendor why it's only charging to 52v?

Re: connecting cheap display to infineon controller

I would return that one and get a Cycle Analyst display, which will plug right into the controller. The Amazon one is going to be hard to figure out and may not be compatible with your controller.

Get a meter called the cycle analyst. You can often pick up a used one in the classifieds for around $50. Well worth it.

Re: Wires getting hot and insulation melting

Do a proper splice by interleaving the strands and then wrapping some fine copper strand around. Then solder. Oh, don't forget to put the heat shrink tubing on before joining up the wires.

Re: Wires getting hot and insulation melting

The picture does not really show where the wires are melting. Sometimes the connectors are too small and heat up a lot and melt the insulation. If that is the case, one solution is to remove the connectors and splice (solder) the wires together.

BBS01 mid-drive is different from other systems. I don't think it will work with it's existing controller. See

Re: 12v lead battery suddenly drained.

Charge the low 12v battery separately with a 12v charger. Get a dc to dc voltage converter to step down your 48v voltage to 12v for the lamp.

In the youtube video of ammo can testing, they conclude it is better to remove the lid gasket so that the it's vented and doesn't blow the lid off.

Have you read anything about the RadRover or RadMini ebikes? They might be a little out of your price range, but maybe a slightly used one or demo is available in your area. I think they are located in Washington state. www.radpowerbikes.com

Just make or buy an adapter cord that attaches to the end of your charger output.

Well, assuming both batteries are same nominal voltage.

This gun works well and comes in a nifty plastic storage/carrying case. Also includes allen key and smoothing tip. Double range trigger for 100w or 140w. Light built in.

$20 plus postage from California.

yes, it's possible at 10-15mph, but partly depends on how much hills you have and if you pedal or not.
