Re: BBS02 two power level question

I have a friend who has a BBS02 on order. He has benign contact with our local driver and vehicle standard people. Now, they are happy that a bike if built; and 'designed' from scratch can have two power levels...as long as they are not rider accessible..so a handle bar switch is OUT. But he din me...

Re: BBS02 Cranks Not Engaging

are you sure they haven`t come loose on the splines, its a common occurrence.

your ordinary 2" allen-key is no good, they need a serious amount of torque to stay put.

Re: BBS02 - Buying In or Importing To UK

Warranty is present in the uk.... only provided you don`t hammer the crank the wrong way ;o) lol! anyhow, the op hasn`t mentioned a Battery in his calculations. Probably factor in another £300+ or so? If i were doing the conversion again i`d spend the extra and go for at least a 15aH or 20aH option...

Re: BBS02 - Buying In or Importing To UK

Certainly you`ve given yourself a lot of options there! I`m in the UK and i bought the BBS02 750 complete kit from BTN in China plus a 13ah 48v Battery. Approx price inc. delivery via FedEx was £530. This was at least £150+ cheaper than anywhere else in the UK for a similar set-up. FedEx charged me ...

Re: Programming the Bafang Middrive BBS01+BBS02

IMG_20150721_153201.jpg I don't see any real advantage or disadvantage between display versions. It's really more about esthetics IMO. I prefer the 961. Again because it fits my layout well. Not a lot of difference, this is the 965a i got with the latest kit, the 965 has a Watt meter if it makes an...

Re: BBS02 thumb throttle seems to be on/off only

If you look back into the controller programming thread there`s settings you can adjust to make the throttle a little more progressive.
Also there`s a `twist-grip` motorbike type throttle available that might be a better option.

+1

Allen keys just won`t cut it unless you stand on them, also use Loctite or similar on the threads.

Is this the screw on type or the more common cassette?
I`m after the same upgrade only the older screw-on 7 speed.

Re: BBS02, C965 without wattmeter ?! PAS max 3 ?

P1000391.JPG Tommie, what is the weight of the motor/crank arms ? Hopefully you weighed it before installing it . Anyone else reading these posts, weigh theirs before installing it ? As far as i can remember the motor and crank arms are 6-7kgs, btw you have to really tighten these or they will work...

Re: BBS02, C965 without wattmeter ?! PAS max 3 ?

I have exactly the same one, yes you can change it to 9 assist levels.
Hold + and - for two seconds, then if i remember the same again, takes you to 3- 5 - 9 option.

Also mine didn`t have the Watt meter as was advertised, but as i`ve read it is next to useless anyway.
