Re: ENDUROEBIKE.COM

Fitted a 72v to 12v converter, Is yours a 60v bike or 72v (76v if 24s lifepo4.) Because my bike needed a 86v to 12v dc converter (Charge voltage?) Only complaints, so far is the stand keeps moving, no matter how much you tighten it, I put some extra screws in it to stop it moving consider putting a...

Re: ENDUROEBIKE.COM

I agree, be cautious more than anxious. Imo, you could likely make a much nicer build diy, for less money. As a firsttimer, maybe don't plan to save much money, but get alot of experience which will help to use/maintenance/upkeep. I did my first diy this year, and just grabbed a purpose built frame...

Re: Has anyone tried one of these Chinese enduro bikes?

I don't know how I missed this particular thread, as it's EXACTLY the project I was also building (In my Bedroom lol) during, these months this post was active. OK so I also bought just the EEB frame set (direct tho not thru em3ev) Dealing with the company was actually very easy, just as it's China ...

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

I typically run at an average of 1500w with frequent peaks exceeding 2000w, in a 26" wheel with the 5T, and I have NEVER seen temps exceeding ambient, even on 7-10 mile rides on 70 degree days There must be a problem with the temp sensor because you should see at least a few degree more as ambient....

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

Yes I saw Justin 5ml test data ferrofluid on another thread, but just like venting it too requires drilling (if only 1 small one, and might be messy,) plus careful silicon sealing of the cover, I think I may just opt for the 4T Mxus v3 with aluminium stator for better cooling but after reading Neptr...

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

I don't have an external shunt, and use my built in controller shunts, of which there are 3 in series according to the builder, Lyen 18fet 4110 dropping the 4ohm to a 1.333 intern resistance. But even knowing this abt my controller and my custom batt details, each cell apparently has a ≤1.5mΩ (AC im...

After finally working out some probs with my CA integration on my build, and getting my CA to allow me full motor speed on pass thru for the first time, I now find I'm running into other lil probs. I'm wondering if any one else has experienced their CA giving phantom extra recharge cycle readings, o...

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

Actually, the motor power (or actually load) is sort of the key here. If you ignore the motor simulation entirely and just look at the black Load Line you see the power necessary to propel the bike at various speeds ('load' on the sim tables). 'Motor Power' equals 'Load' (the power to propel) at th...

That's motor power, not controller power. I'm talking about controller power ( which is what you see on a cycle analyst ) I too have the 4T motor that you have, which I finally got working to full power for the first time today, (thanks 4 the suggestions Tek,) I also have a supposedly calibrated CA...

Re: Using leafmotor/leafbike 1500w as mid-drive motor?

I know it's not really plug n play so I had Edward Lyen make all the connections... Just to be clear - the electrical part is the smallest part of the issue - the largest part of 'not plug and play' is the firmware configuration. obviously I'm gonna reread the guide again, to find the power restric...

Is there any way to safely further spread a 2 pc shimano cranks, curved crankarms a lil if necessary? No. Surly Mr. Whirly is a modern splined big-spindle crank that has a number of different spindle widths and spider offsets available, including some intended for fatbikes. That's a shame :( that w...

Re: Extra wide bottom brackets for battery box clearance

I have the same problem now on my EEB build, my 24s1p 30ah battery came in 2cm too wide from the manufacturer, and now my VP 100mm x 145mm (fatbike) sq taper BB is hitting the expanded battery compartment. I found an 83-110mm x 170mm BB from I think Greece? cyclone part, and it took weeks to arrive ...

Thanks for all the suggestions about how to get my Speedo accurately calibrated, Btw my brother has a brand new 2015 Suzuki Vstrom bike and it does seem to match my Kayman flash+ speedo reading also, so that's why I relied on it... Now we are talking, but sorry, this is not Vector frame and the side panel (that is also not from Vector for sure) doesn't fit like this plastic one. Next one, go do this test with ventilation in your side cover  . And the last thing, you dont use side panels to stand on them, hit it with a s...

Yes Guys I can count :) 46 or 23 pairs, tbh this was the first pic Ive seen (that I remember) where ALL the magnets were visible to me, (none chopped off at the bottom where I guestimated) I've since set it back correctly to 23 and will have to try other methods to reconcile the speedo with other ve...

I know if I give in to re-opening the batt pack, I'll end up ripping the 60a-120a bms out I wouldn't do that. Then you're going to need to manually balance the pack whenever you charge it up, and you won't have anything to protect the cells from too deep a discharge, since as you get down to the bo...

Re: Using leafmotor/leafbike 1500w as mid-drive motor?

other thing is spinning up this thing. With 0.35mm laminations, 40k-erpm should be possible without excessive eddy currents. At 23 pole pairs this means 1700rpm  Meaning one could gear this at 3:1 for a motor speed of 1500rpm at a wheel speed of 500rpm (around 60kph or 38mph in a 26" wheel) ...
