Re: Issue: VESC with Nunchuk works only with full throttle

OK. First success. I reduced the motormax to 10A. That allows without load a good control. Pushing the c button holds the speed. But: I'm not able to accelerate or deaccelerate with pushed cruise-control. :( Why? And: Reverse does not work. There I will take a look in my code snipped added. Problem ...

Re: Issue: VESC with Nunchuk works only with full throttle

Ok. That can be the issue. I didn't try it with load. Just the gear and the roll. But I will !NOT! step on board for first test! Never the less it is still all on a breadboard. I will try it this evening by holding the roll with my hand (till it get's to hot :)) Thx @vedder: I can send you a pull re...

Issue: VESC with Nunchuk works only with full throttle

Hi, I've now build an Arduino based Nunchuk replacement with nRF24 that communicates with the VESC over UART an takes also the measured values and gives them back to the remote. Currently I use 2812 to indicate for example voltage state. Later I will add a OED. I will soon publish everything. I just...

Re: VESC Open Source - Android App Features?!?!

Send me once your code. I can test it when there is time.

Currently I'm working on controlling the nunchuck app over UART.

Re: VESC Open Source - Android App Features?!?!

HI, SoftwareSerial should work. I've currently running it on an MEGA2560. There I've enough serial ports and didn't test it yet. With 9600 Baud check if you have set also on the VESC the UART speed to 9600. By default it is at 115200. Turn on the application UART or UART +PWM. If you still have no l...

Re: VESC Open Source - Android App Features?!?!

Hi, Here we go: https://github.com/RollingGecko/VescUartControl Reviewers welcome. If you want to add respectively complete handlers, please don't forget to send a pull request. :) I use this library for a arduino based remote control like Nunchuk with information feedback. Comming soon. Have fun. A...

Re: VESC Open Source - Android App Features?!?!

Hi, For an ArduRemoteControl for the VESC I created a reliable library for the UART communication. But I use hardware Serial on the Arduino. The project is not yet on Github but comming soon. I can read out data and send all values with nrf24 to the remote. But it is no challenge to put a serial blu...

Re: Open Source Arduino transmitter/receiver for (V)ESC

Hi, I want to jump in the discussion. The controler you developed is realy smart and fits perfectly to your VESC BLDC which I use now for some time and I must say that it a perfect esc! But I want also keep the discussion upright that started on this thread from erwincoumans about the arduino based ...

Re: VESC Open Source - Android App Features?!?!

Hi,

I'm just wondering for the reason of this PCB? Is it not possible to use the normal nushuk?
