Re: Sedona e-bike trail closure ?

Much of what I post has both humor and seriousness in it. In this case a bit more humor content, but I was trying to make a point about HB622 and its backdoor attempt to open public land to private exploitation by removing National park rangers and Forestry Service officers from the picture. As far ...

Re: Sedona e-bike trail closure ?

Who cares about single track? I can have just as much fun on double track and fire roads. I was thinking about access for my diesel pickup and fifth wheel into the woods and desert areas that I have to park outside of these days. If we don't have to worry about LEOs anymore, I'm thinking why bother ...

Re: Sedona e-bike trail closure ?

HB622 will remove the federal govt from all law enforcement of public lands and give it to local police. Since most local cops are understaffed and have miniscule budgets, this means there will be effectively NO rules anymore!!! Another year or so and we will be able to drive bulldozers through the ...

I agree, I tried to read it a day or so ago, but I found it to be practically impenetrable, as if he was being paid by the word! The author may be quite the researcher, but perhaps not so much of a writer.

I am at my wits end trying to register at the bentrideronline forum. Does anyone here have an account there that works and might be willing to use it to help me contact the forum management? I have tried sending emails via the contact us page for months with no response. I have created several accou...

Re: Anyone else love speed bumps?

Have you guys seen the 'reverse' speed bumps? I swear to god I remember driving over them but can't remember when or where, and can't find mention of them online. They're like a depressed/reverse/inverse/ditch/gulley version of a 'speed table'. Maybe a 6-10' long depression that's several inches de...

Third and final try at light mounting, this time with decent brackets: image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg What brackets are you using there. I have the same bars, and that would be a great lighting solution. Thanks I got mine from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/House-Tuning-4pcs-Clamp-Lights-Mount/dp...

Re: Planing to build my first eBike, critiques please.

Not sure why you would order from China when for the same prices you could have bought from Luna here in the states. Luna price on the bbso2 is 469. I'm glad you went with the BBSO2. That should be a great unit. I'm from Latvia, EU. :D I see, thats the reason behind the 60mile range hopes, its so i...

So for you the issue is not the criminal behavior by riders of illegal emotorcycles, but their posting of video documenting their violations? That's an interesting viewpoint....... As long as lawbreakers are only seen in realtime by the folks that they live among and are not subject to a Google sear...

Re: Ultimate BBSHD Grin Phase Runner FOC 3000W

I felt the same way at one time, but I've come to realize that particular ship sailed a long time ago. Anyone who wants can find hundreds of videos that reflect poorly on us, as far as trail access goes, that were made a year or two ago. What harm will new content do?

Re: What are you guys building over the winter?

I'm working on a hopped-up BBSHD installation on my full-suspension fat bike. The bike has been run since new with a 52v 30a BBSHD from Luna, but that motor and its pair of Luna Sharks now reside on our second Deadeye Monster built to Karl's recipe. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg I plan to try Tes...

I love a mid-drive, but you should get a magic/golden pie. I have a Magic Pie on my street bike and it works great. Top speed on mine is 31mph and it is smooth and dead silent. I have a 6-speed freewheel, but I think a 7 will fit too.

Re: E-bike build - Help requested

There is a 60v internal limit in the BBSHD controller and it's not the MOSFETs so unless you use an external controller, you are limited to a 52v battery. Luna has a 60a controller, available with purchase of a bicycle, but it is limited to 52v too. 30mph WOT is possible with a stock BBSHD at 52v wi...
