Re: Folding electric fat-bike

Same here with my Viper, 10/15 seconds, another few seconds to tie the hinged sections together with one cord, just easier to carry tied. I haven't had mine off snow yet, I'm running 7.5 psi rear, 10 front, with great traction all around on hilly terrain.

Re: Is charging an EV moving pollution to somewhere else?

Many electric appliances approach 100% efficiency, as compared to propane/natural gas ones. For instance, an electric boiler that only "fires" when the circulator pump is on, and the volume of water contained in the boiler is so small (a gallon or 2 ) that you get almost instant heat, with NO FLUE L...

Re: Is charging an EV moving pollution to somewhere else?

I have been producing ALL my power for the last 38 years, first off grid, for the last 9 years grid tied (where I produce MORE then I use, I currently have over 11,000 KWH "stored" with my local utility. It's a paper exercise, my excess power in the summer months when the hydro system is running, al...

Re: Game-Changer Electric Trike has it all, forget re-invent

The Trike tipping thing: as a teenager I worked for an attorney messenger service in San Francisco, my job consisted of zipping around the city in a enclosed Cushman (meter maid type) scooter. I got PAID for this! I got very proficient with it, and used to regularly get air cresting some of the hill...

Re: Folding electric fat-bike

I should also mention that since the TV is my first e bike experience, (and I didn't know about this site and the vast storehouse of knowledge) I wasn't confident enough to even think of converting any other already in the marketplace folders, like the Swift. Cool bike, nice and light, though it doe...

Re: Folding electric fat-bike

It's working in the direction of the real thing, but it's only 25% of the way there. This little folding mongrel looks like it can't do anything a mountain bike doesn't already do, only it'll do it slower. That folding business has got to go; it spoils every bike that has it. If you want a weak, he...

Re: Folding electric fat-bike

I bought a Trail Viper 10 days ago, this is the same bike with a different name, (or the other way around, take your pick) pretty much it seems? My first E-bike of any type, 2 weeks ago I didn't even know there was such a thing, now I have one, and another on order! I took it out the other day in 6"...
