Re: Truck Modification for Enertion Nylon Pulley

Yeah, I think Boosted figured out that extended axles are a bad idea. I recently designed a 33T HTD 5M-15 pulley that can be 3D printed in Nylon and screwed onto a Kegel wheel with 5x M6x65 SHCS. I only got to test my design for about 10 km before my board stopped syncing with the remote, but it se...

Re: Truck Modification for Enertion Nylon Pulley

Be aware that turning down the hanger makes it a lot easier for the axle to bend from normal use (hitting bumps). I've had this problem consistently with my Evolve board. Consider a pulley which screws directly to the wheel and doesn't have its own bearing. That way you don't have to turn down the ...

Re: Truck Modification for Enertion Nylon Pulley

There's an abec11 wheel pulley that fits inside the wheel, and while its intended for an extra bearing and ur supposed to cut the hanger I read from the maker that he doesn't bother putting the bearing in or lathing the truck hanger down and it works fine. It's on Imaterialize.com. If enertion's ar...

Re: Truck Modification for Enertion Nylon Pulley

check out Longhairedboy's instagram and youtube- he has videos on how to do it. he also does enertion repairs, so if you are going to learn it from anyone, he's the guy Dude holy shi**! I looked at his instagram and he had a few pictures of a board I helped a senior design student with, which means...

Truck Modification for Enertion Nylon Pulley

Hey guys, I am in the process of planning my build and I want to use enertion's nylon pulley for ABEC 11 Wheels. However, I noticed in the pictures and in their videos, the trucks have been trimmed down to reveal more of the axle so that the pulley's bearing can slide over it. What is the best way t...

Re: PSA: do not get ripped off by Enertion

Yeah, I think that Enertion has some decent parts, but they charge way to much for them. Almost everything they have is source from china and they are just re-branding it and jacking up the price. Not my cup of tea but if you are completely ignorant and want a product quick, Enertion provides decent...

Re: My e-board caught fire

Yep, that is why I stay as far away from lipos as possible. I will gladly shell out the $$ for a123 26650s or other safer lithium cells over lipos.

Yeah, I mean I assume it can be done in a daisy chain setup, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it.

Haha, thanks! Yeah it's awesome, definitely turns heads and it is so freaking loud.

Quad VESC Over CAN Bus?

Hey guys, I'm still planing out my monster quad drive board and was curious about wiring four VESCs over CAN bus with one as the master and the other three as the slaves. Has this been done before or is is possible? I am just now learning bout the CAN bus and the VESCs so please excuse my ignorance....

Re: 12s A123 ANR26650 Battery Pack

I'm going to be using 36 a123 26650's in the monster board I'm building. It's designed to have maximum acceleration and it will have a top speed of 45mph, although I'll probably never go that fast. Those cells are unmatched imo. Btw, a123 also produces 18650 cells that do 30A continuously. However,...

Re: 190KV or 230KV For Quad Loangboard Setup?

I looked into the hub motors, but the acceleration and torque seemed poor, even when considering a 4WD variant. I'm coming from a boosted board dual plus and I want to at least double that acceleration and torque. I also want to have modular wheels so I can swithc the wheels out for large off roadin...

Re: 190KV or 230KV For Quad Loangboard Setup?

Ok so I think I have it figured out. I first want to point out that when I say 12s, I mean 12 of the 26650 LiFePO4 cells with a nominal voltage of 3.3v. Fully charged they are 3.5v. I did some calculations and figured that the 230kv motor would be better suited for my application as at 37v it is at ...

Re: 190KV or 230KV For Quad Loangboard Setup?

Yes, I was just reading about the kv being to high on other forums. It would be better to keep the voltage high and lower the KV to keep the motors running cooler? Is is possible to limit the voltage via the vesc? Also yes I helped a senior design student build a dual drive system with the r-spec 19...

Re: 190KV or 230KV For Quad Loangboard Setup?

Ok cool, actually your motors look perfect as I am planning on using a 12s pack. What sprockets would you recommend for it considering the 4WD? Also, does the sensor interface with the VESC controller and would they be available in non-sensored versions? Which version would you recommend for use wit...

190KV or 230KV For Quad Loangboard Setup?

Hello guys, I am starting an ambitious project. I'm designing a 4WD electric long board and I am currently researching motors. I am stuck between the enertion r-spec 190kv and the alien power 6355 230kv. I want the board to go 35-40 and am unsure if having 4 r-specs at a very low gear ratio would be...
