It’s 174.2 mm in length to the pulley front not including the nut. It comes in at 10 pounds for weight.

Re: QS 3000w midmotor
hello, be careful the 12F is able to provide 10kW peak. There it is 10x the nominal power of engine. You'll tell us what it does. I have a QS 3kW and it will turn with the Thermonucular 24F. I'm eager to see how he run. I preorder this from June. Thanks for the heads up. I will start out with extre...

Re: QS 3000w midmotor
Really interested in these motors from qs, does anyone have any experience with the 1000 and 2000w versions? My 1000 has been really happy at 3500w, around 8:1 reduction with a 26in wheel. I don't have a temp gauge but will bump it to 5000w once installed The motor shaft is 17mm nontapered so the 3...

Re: Am I asking for trouble? BBS02 on carbon road frame
Opinion only here. If you keep the weight down and don’t crash you should be fine. A steel frame will survive most crashes to some extent. Cracks from crashes and stress can be welded. All other frames types may give you one or maybe two crashes and your frame is unsafe or just broken beyond use. If...

Re: Need advice on motor, battery, controller, for overhead cable car
You’ll probably need some sort of reduction. Most motors spin say 3000 rpm and you need say 300 rpm for an ebike to work properly and not burn out your motor or controller. For your project you may need even more reduction to keep it slow and powerful. Lowering the final rpm increases torque in the ...

Re: How to select motor and gear ratio for mid-drive?
Just get a benfang or cyclone unless you have very little to spend. Your time spent figuring could be time spent mounting batteries etc. and preparing for riding using a kit where the engineering is done already. Keeping power levels low to keep costs down really isn’t worth it. Many think 250-500 w...

Glad you got it going! And with the nuclear controller too. Did you get the 12f? I gave up my space in line to free up funds for my workshop expansion going on now. I’m hoping the controller is a success and readily available down the line.

Good to see some states have the financial resources to enforce such crap. What’s next a regular boat registration for a kayak? I hope this is only for the city and suburban types because it seems pointless in remote areas.

Re: qs 1000w builds
It’s not a hub motor. Doing the math of kv x volts to get rpm is a very low number at 11kv. Should be a number in the thousands not hundreds for rpm. I’m thinking kv of a motor rating is just that and has no relation to the reduction. I’m considering selling this motor as my projects have changed fo...

Re: New 4800W Cyclone?
Got it. Any opinions, anyone, on the belt vs chain versions? 8mm wide for the belt seems narrow. Also the belt has a fixed length. So if going with the belt driven and no swingarm your motor to wheel distance is fixed to the belt length, a pain but doable for a custom builder, but your reduction rat...

Or a pogo stick why not.
Seriously. Opinion only. The big box enduro frame design is tired and overkill. An alternative is a departure from this frame.

Re: New 4800W Cyclone?
Ok I should have used imagine. Basically figure out how to mount the cyclone 4.8kw coaxial and possibly also the swingarm to this frame. This could be an alternative to the Enduro frame. It’s obviously not going to be bolt on and go by any means. Combining the motor with the cranks clears up a lot o...

Re: Index of all left side chain + brake designs ?
I’ll take your word for it, although with a sprocket larger than the disc disc rotor it might not touch the caliper. One thing I don’t like is many separate or bolted parts, spacer, mount, adapter ring, offsets to get out of in the spokes etc. I’m trying to stay away from hokey hack work. I’d consid...

Re: Index of all left side chain + brake designs ?
I’m in the same boat. The hub mount adapted to work seems the most doable. I don’t see any way to utilize the disc mount to share with the sprocket. Seems like with most of the adapters you’ll have to give up your rear disk, not going to happen. The thought of the mount breaking loose and destroying...

Re: Anyone Know How to find Missing Files on a Mac?
I’ve had this problem on my Mac before. It was when the hard drive was full. It must use some hard drive space as a scratch disc to show icons and file names. Once I freed up some space by deleting unneeded files or moving some to another drive, my file names and icons returned. They were always the...

That swingarm looks beefy. The ability to just purchase swingarm and motor/controller only kit is a big plus. They sell the belts and pulleys separately also going by the YouTube comments. This could be the start of some interesting builds.

It’s becoming more acceptable for quietness and maintenance free applications. Look in the sur-ron thread. One Entrepreneur is selling a belt drive sprocket conversion kit with videos showing the results. With the right engineering belts could rival chains.
