Re: VESC for ebike ?

However if there is a proven 120v design in this forum I could take a look to see if we can make a powerpass out of it for the vesc controller. Sounds like an opportunity/ challenge for the highly talented folk on the forum. Unfortunately, not in my skill set but I'd be super keen for a higher powe...

Nice work, so many triangles. Is the pedal hanger and head tube a bolt on arrangement? I assume you'll produce two of these as largest components of the chassis?
Any lessons in the machining that would inform future designs?

Hi, nice setup :D
Tough question, I'd consider controllers from EmDrive and Accelerated Systems. I'm sure there are other options.

Looks like a really powerful package with a price to match. Cool box, is it laser etched?
Please keep us updated with your setup experience, I'll be reading with interest. Sounds like an option for motorcycles or crazy power people like Luke :D

Re: NYX Quokka Build

Very nice work. I've been intrigued about copper nickle hybrid since I saw Bruno's video on the solar race cars. The setup was a copper plate with circular cutouts. Nickle is welded to the cell. Since then I've been wondering if fuse wires could be welded to a copper bus with a bus layout similar to...

Re: Is it possible to "crimp" 6.5 m.m. bullet connectors to

I too have been looking for high amperage crimp bullet connector to eliminate increased resistance and wire breakage associated with soldering and solder wicking. The largest crimp bullets I found are 4.57mm tin plated brass. The options are slim. Either permanent but joints or use a bulky connector...

Nice to see some progress. Sounds like you have quiet the task with another 30 components. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the design after you've been through the machining process. I hear you with the weird delays, last week I was massively busy and then every ceiling light in the work...

I didn't mean to infer anything negative about the price or your means to afford the frame. I'm just interested in peoples perception of cost and value.

I wouldn't worry about the heat distortion in the FUTR frame. If anything it's a sign of good penetration in the weld and higher quality material.

Re: Manufacturing error Enduro swing arm

Set the flogometer (hammer) to 10 and give it an adjustment. Seriously though the manufacturing tolerance on these frames is all over the place. Fortunately with a steel frame you can fix it yourself without major problems. You might want to use a press or some threaded rod to pull it into spec. Bot...

I agree, the BMS you refer too is probably the best option on the market. Perhaps I'm over complicating the discussion, especially given the amperage of your design. A few test examples with BMS and 3d housings might prove the concept and help the sales. I've just purchased a two new frames, keen to...

Now that's pretty dam cool. I've been thinking about your product and the debate about mass production. If you add a monitoring enclosure, preferably via bluetooth BMS, you'd have an epic option in the DIY battery space with very few real competitors. I'm not underestimating the task just throwing o...
