Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

On the other hand, purely functionally, the stock firmware is quite good. Don't expect the open source firmware to give a radically better riding experience or to dramatically extend battery life. Thank you tomtom50 for this. I've actually customized the stock firmware and I also like it as it is. ...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open souce adapted to vlcd5

Oooooh yeah.... great job on this. This is very much appreciated, a lot of people have been requesting this for a while... makes it so much easier to experience the upgraded motor functions. I have the 36v dialed in real good! Very happy with it. I am playing with the settings some for 48v/52v now....

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open souce adapted to vlcd5

can someone remind me what exactly power boost is please? to know if i should have it enabled or disabled. Power boost adds extra power when you start or resume pedaling. You can set a boost amount for each pedal assist level and you can set a duration for how long the boost is in effect before it ...

Is it possible to download a topic on Endless Sphere (a phpBB forum) to read offline? I have some airplane time coming up and need to peruse a topic that is over 100 pages.

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Just a thought. Is holding down the plus button used for anything? The minus is pretty much a universal standard for walk assist. Since cruise control is a new feature, how about using the plus button so they don't conflict?

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Yes , i already mount this motor on a aluminium bike frame ... But i have a new project , mount a eletrical bike with torque sensor motor on carbon frame I prefer carbon frame because for me the feeling is better , it's more lighter , more beautiful and give more power and reactivity And it's also ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Whilst upgrading to 52V I messed up and installed an 8-pin controller into my motor while only having a couple of 6-pin displays to go with it. Anybody know where to get an adapter cable to bridge? My google-fu failed me and since I already feel stupid I thought it would be more productive to ask h...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

So Then what is the ultimate 52v Battery with open source software for my 52v 750w tsdz2? This one with 21700 Samsung 50E cells: Specs for the 50E cell here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_h7x6rdnD3I&t=183s Unfortunately still a bit away from prime time but soon. Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, Can I ask is anyone running a 48v motor on a 36v battery? Are there any issues doing that? Or can either motor be run on any voltage 24v-52v? It works fine. The 48v motor has more windings which makes it run at a lower rpm but with more torque at any given voltage. So running it with a 36v batt...

Hoping someone can give me some advice... I'm don't know if I'm screwed or not. I rode my 52v tsdz2 in a light snow today. Worked fine for about 2 hours. Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

GA cells in a 2P configuration are not great for continuous output above 12-13 amps. I always use a higher power cell like the Samsung 30Q which are great up to 25 amps continuous and peaks of 35-40 amps. A little overkill for TSDZ2 but can also be used for Bafang BBS02 and BBSHD. Slightly lower ca...

Tomtom, I have done a number of TSDZ2 builds with 14S2P batteries in saddle bags and agree that it is a great lightweight and stealthy way to go. One thing about the battery you linked; GA cells in a 2P configuration are not great for continuous output above 12-13 amps. I always use a higher power c...

Tomtom, I like your waterproof cable setup and plan to try it down the road when I switch over to the KT-LCD3. But I had a couple of questions about the brakes you used. I haven't found many brakes using the 2 pin Higo (red) most use a 3 pin connector (Higo (yellow) or JST). The 36V TSDZ2 kit I bou...
