Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

For someone completely inept at programming electronics, this is quite overwhelming, At the same time quite exciting since I own a TZDZ2 and have never been happy. I have some rudimentary questions. Should anyone have a few minutes. Can the TSDZ2 use or is there a version that can utilize BBSxx har...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I tested v19 beta 3 on a coaster brake motor. There is no backward resistance but I also have no power. I did a reset and triple checked all the settings. There are good torque and PAS/cadence readings but always 0 watts. Any ideas? The motor worked fine with v18.2 but had extreme backward resistanc...

Re: My New Bafang Ultra - E-BIKE HYBRID SUV 27.5

Hi ! Nice project!!! I routed my rear brake cable through the motor. it is enough place. but rear derailleur cable would also match (brake=6mm and Shimano SP41 is only 4mm), but the real problem is the angle of the routing - its too much. Its a Frey AM1000, but might be the same issue here. I chang...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I did it and it all worked out. I can confirm the TSDZ2 and PRIORITY CONTINUUM ONYX are compatible to each other. I did 50 miles so far and everything behaves as expected. Congratulations! That is awesome. I count five huge wins: 1. TSDZ2 mid-drive motor, 2. Flexible Open Source Firmware. 3. Gates ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Does anyone know where to find the seal that goes in the old style TSDZ2 chainring spider? The part that seals between the spider and the spindle? The problem is that all of the 3rd party spiders and chainrings use this type of seal. With the old version of chainring on the TSDZ2, you just took the...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Problems with some STLinkV2 clones So, I had 3 different units of STLinkV2 clones because they are cheap and I decided to keep one unit with programming header for the motor, other to LCD3 and other for 850C LCD. When I burned the STLinkV2 and 850C LCD, I started to use other STLinkV2 unit and it w...

I think I did not release 0.19, I think. I want to review the commit of Buba and maybe, add the code to disable the PWM while resting.
I have the coaster brake bike back in the shop and will do the tests you asked for. Need to disable PWM with wheel speed >0 for the coaster brake.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I am curious to know if anyone else has installed the Sturmey Archer 5 speed IGH in conjunction with the TSDZ2 52-volt 750 watt version. I put a Sturmey Archer 5 speed IGH on a 750-watt BBS02 build. We were really excited about it until it started slipping internally with less than 100 miles on it....

Hey Gals, I faced some hurdles programming the open source software to the motor. LCD was flawless following the instructions on the wiki. 850C LCD I am happy, although I did burn a 850C LCD and an USB port of my computer. There is still more p...

Will this firmware work with TSDZ2 coaster brake version ?
and if will this need any specific configuration ?
Not yet. However, this is being addressed. There is a lot of resistance pedaling backward in the current version that hopefully will be fixed soon. Watch this forum for updates.
