Re: Electric Surf Board

I used PE because Epoxid Resin should not stick to it. But because of a too rough surface, it is sticking like hell .. For my second Impeller, I applied normal candle wax on the surface. This worked very well. You should use pva film that is used in mold release to make it a whole lot easier for yo...

Re: Electric Surf Board

Hey ropo, here is a tutorial for designing a propeller in inventor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iVDzhGvre4 for the cast, just do a boolean difference between the propeller and a block of the right size. then you could also 3d print or cnc machine the mould. If you 3d print it, then use ABS so ...

Re: Electric Surf Board

I made my impeller very similar. Produced two negative forms with CNC mill, then applied epoxid resin and small pieces of carbon fiber until i had approx. 5 - 10 layers everywhere. With weights i pressed both forms together with the propeller in the middle. At the end I got the impeller as shown at...

Saw some updated info about Onean on their Facebook page. I'm sure the info is somewhere in this thread already. I'll repost for my own. Good Morning to everyone, I'm following this topic quiet long time and considering to make my own e-jetsurf. ' Since we have limited test data on these "high powered" ESC, I want compare everything we can with the Alien 24S 420A ESC and why it failed at 80V and 100A. There is so much to consider: 1) Test voltage and current 2) Fet type and quantity 3) Capacitor type and quantity 4) Cooling fans,...

Re: Electric Hydrofoil/E-Foil

I have some basic mechanical questions: How are you guys handling shock safety? Clearly the electronics need to be protected/waterproofed, but in the event the waterproofing fails and you have accidental contact of battery/live high voltage/amperage wires to the water? How are you sealing the motor...

Yeah, I gave it up because I live in an apartment now so gas is a big no no. Also, there is a lot of hassle involved with small gas engines Unless you invest in a really good carb. 8) Propane/LP gas?
