One of these certainly would look good on one of the green bikes.

Re: How do I choose a motor controller
I have the same 12F PV controller you are considering having purchased it to use with the small block motor running at 52v. Mike figured out the hall wire connections, I just put the app on my phone, we turned it on and we were able to configure and set parameters in about 2 minutes. So far it is wo...

Appears there might have been some slight problems with the collaboration, too bad, a lot of us would like to buy a made in N. America drive system. Look for a new movie coming soon to a theater near you-"Who Killed The Electric Bike?"

Re: Straight Answer on Using Lithium Power Tool Batteries
I'm sure you quickly figured out Kobalt packs are 21.6 nominal, they use three tabs, (+) and (-) on the outsides and one middle tab goes to the charger, one is unused. They call them 24v just like a lot of 18v packs are labeled as 20v by other manufacturers. I took the flashlight apart to look at th...

Re: Best Full Suspension ebike Frames?
More common bikes I would look for would be the Giant Anthem's and Trek Fuel's of the mid 2000's vintage. They all had nice open triangles, but if used w/ a frame bag, they need some sort of guard so the vertical mounted shock doesn't wear thru it. I have Trek Fuel 90 2003 w/BBSHD and swapped out f...

Some tests, first tried it at 5.0ms, worked, then up to 7.0ms, can see positioning the electrodes evenly helps. Had a hard time prying the test strips off the blade with my pocket knife.

Replaced batteries today with new ones. It works great!! Thanks for the help! Good news, you should take a look at some of that stuff in the link I posted above, forum member Drk Angel details a lot of different mods you can do to the Trailz bikes for better performance, putting 36v controller and ...

Friend of mine wrote a Novel "The Whispering Whale", a post apocalyptic tale that explored how quickly humans turn into barbarians after environmental/societal collapse, Mad Max type bandits riding around hijacking anyone with any resources whatsoever. I had a hard time putting the book do...

Re: Ezip Trailz 24v bike low power
You should get a cheap multi-testor if you don't have one and first determine the voltage the batteries are getting up to and eliminate that possible problem first. Hot off the charger a 24v battery should be around 27 volts. Here's a thread to read with lots of info about the Trailz bikes: https://...

Exactly what does your multi-testor say after battery is charged as much as it's going to charge? Is it an old lead acid battery pack?

Re: Man Gets Hit and Run Over at Vigil for Cyclist who was hit an Run and Killed
My strategy is avoid mixing with motor vehicle traffic whenever possible and especially bike lanes on busy streets and boulevards where distracted drivers have a good shot at taking me out. I stick to back streets, alleys and dedicated bike paths as a rule and venture into the jungle of paved madnes...

Harley is teaming up with Alta? Seems like a pretty good team for Harley to hook up with, so far as far as electric motorcycles are concerned my wish list includes Zero, KTM and Alta MX bike looks spectacular as well. This partnership might be the best thing Harley has done in decades.

Re: E-bike restricted trail access and hate
Around here, there are places I'd expect them to ticket people for using the signals and crosswalk as intended, for "obstructing the flow of traffic". But in reality I don't think they'd ever put them in in the first place. I suspect the only time they even add crosswalks, or traff...

The option for 80-90-100% charge settings model is the one I would get for a decent inexpensive charger.

I need to buy some clear shades that blocks out the wind, my eyes get watery while riding. I've been using Uvex Flex-seal safety goggles all winter, available at most industrial safety supplies, dirt cheap and very comfy, easy to get on and off, I have some MX goggles too but the Uvex's are more co...

Re: E-bike restricted trail access and hate
Yes protected lanes need to be implemented with well thought out design. I often ride on stretches of roadway where there are no driveways or other entrances where auto traffic travels at high rates of speed and designated bike lanes are exposed. I see little negatives to arrangements like this in s...

you could get the fast ace fork model that's used on the Sur-ron light bee, it's for downhill bikes and would not require a moto front wheel.. just 20mm through axle mtn bike front wheel.. other options would be DNM, RST, etc.. Would something like DVO Emerald or similar be an option if $$$ was not...

The first time I biked in Boulder CO I came to an intersection with a road and stopped, waiting for traffic to clear. The cars all stopped. I couldn't figure out why - there was no stop sign or red light. Then one of them waved me through. I was so used to NY and San Diego traffic that I was caught...

I'd imagine the power to weight ratio on that bike is pretty high. You have any idea of total weight with batteries and all?
