Some tests, first tried it at 5.0ms, worked, then up to 7.0ms, can see positioning the electrodes evenly helps. Had a hard time prying the test strips off the blade with my pocket knife.

You should get a cheap multi-testor if you don't have one and first determine the voltage the batteries are getting up to and eliminate that possible problem first. I'd imagine the power to weight ratio on that bike is pretty high. You have any idea of total weight with batteries and all?
