Re: Yuyang king 40amp controller

have you tried using the password, did it get you into settings?
If you have the settings on reverse there is a speed control just for reverse and its set at something like 8% Maybe send screen shots of your controller settings

Try this
http://www.daymak.com/manuals/DAYMAK_APP_MANUAL_IOS.pdf
They use the same controller on their new bikes its model number is YKS9650EG-B claimed at 50 Amps but I believe its probably the same if not totally similar

Re: First build - Vector light frame, mxus v3 and adaptto

I just found me the bike to lure me off my scooter, I have been looking for something to put my Magic Pie 3 into and I am in love with this bike. Do you have the options of pedaling, is it going to be a single speed just to get you rolling? I am watching with interest.

Re: Battery suggestion? (feedback on luna?)

Your right, I had a dumb moment, they are in Vancouver, I’m thinking of golden-motors who sell grin products, not nearly as good to deal with. Do a quick search on Kijiji for ‘Lithium ion 18650 powerbricks 30 p 3s’ you will find the guy. I have no connection to him, I just feel that’s a fair price c...

Re: Homemade Battery Packs

Thank you for looking, the positive I’m going to put a solid link over the top of the doubled strip and from the center of that link my power wire. The negative will be going to the 13s that will sit on the side and again the negative side will be doubled up like all the parallel connections are, a ...

Re: Homemade Battery Packs

There all lg mf1 cells, different color wrap. If you go to alarmhookup you will see the new lg packs are a Dark purple as opposed to the light violet. They went into this pack because I’m just seeing how easy it is. I had concerns but seeing as they are the same spec cells I’m pretty confident they ...

Re: Homemade Battery Packs

Pack check please. I have been reading the 100 ways to skin a cat thread for a while and I have done 3 u-turns. It’s the first 12s of a 13s 7p pack. I used pre tinned bus bar from solar panels 5mm x0.2 mm and doubled up on the parallel connections. Pre tinned the cells (original nickel strips folded...

Going to cost you postage so I can’t include a price because I have no idea. I’ll post anywhere, once I run out of Jiffy bags I’ll add ...

Re: VMOTO E-MAX 120L (EMAX 120L)

On your bms is the LVC set to high? Or is the bms max discharge tripping. Although you clearly have power? Is the motor getting hot cutting the power? Or a problem with the temp probe. If it’s only with the switch on max and no other mode like normal or eco suspect the switch itself or the controlle...

Re: Battery suggestion? (feedback on luna?)

Or... you can keep your pack and replace the cells, someone up past Orangeville has lg hg2 cells @4 a piece, you could simply replace the cells in your existing pack. He builds powerbricks but also custom builds. Way easier than importing from the US. For the record I have ordered twice from Luna an...

Re: The new Emmo Zone/Daymak EM2 72v

The pedals are there, under the rear sets, just a very short chain and to be honest they pedal better than my scooter. Also most are easily doing 55+km/hr not that I agree with that but that’s a different subject. As for bashing someone’s enthusiasm i feel your being a little harsh, without this kin...

I have a few I tore off the packs when i got them, there are a few different types and I've not come across any issues with the cells them selves but I have only just finished balancing the cells to be able to group them.

Re: How is power divided between motors?

The only problem with having hydraulic motors is if the primary fails the wheels are not going to turn, having been up snowdon a few times its a hard walk down as it is let alone carrying a locked up machine. Have you thought about using a 6x6 base and having the motor take place of the usual small ...

head on over to the battery thread and read a few of the sticky threads, and batterybro.com have a good write up on cells. most are directed at 18650 cells. Shipping to Canada is exactly that, shipping due to restrictions on putting them on planes.

Re: Daymak em1 1500w controller 500w hub motor

Then your back to the controller, 72v 20Ah is still 1400w. So start with a decent 72v controller and then you will want to upgrade your batteries to something with more capacity than your current SLA's but I would wear them out first, they have no value other than being used till they achieve your g...

Re: Daymak em1 1500w controller 500w hub motor

The motor phase has 3 wires, swap them till it runs in reverse. Tell the app to run in reverse and set power to 100% They limit to power from the hall sensor (ultimately this controls the speed) so you have to supply the max voltage back to the controller. This step requires that you supply 4.8v to ...

Re: Daymak em1 1500w controller 500w hub motor

The simple answer is temperature. How hot is the motor getting. There are people pushing the controller to get 55-60 so 42 is less than a 48v motorino with one plug undone. I don't think your getting any where near the full caperbilies.

Re: Daymak em1 1500w controller 500w hub motor

Even if you don't know you could state what stock parts you are using. Rather then saying a cheap one, best to include the listing or the specs on the sheet with all the numbers. 1500w really means 20 amps at 72v. So 1500w peak is probably 750w operating current, is 10 amps, doesn't sound much bette...

Re: Daymak em1 1500w controller 500w hub motor

The key is in the numbers, I'm having the same issue. If your asking if you can run 1500watts you have to name the components. The original controller https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByspukeFK2atbEU1UnFIMHFXR1U States 50 amp 84V = 4200 watts. The math doesn't add up there's no way your feeding tha...

Re: Loose wires?

I'm no expert but my readings have led me to look at the obvious, if it sounds like power cutting out it probably is, do you have a watt meter, does your battery have a bms that could be tripping when you apply power. what was the wire you tightened up? where did it go. what throttle did you replace...

Re: 13s 15p or 20s 10p all things being equal.

So I'm dependent on a controller that at best powered a 72v brushless motor, my values are quoted from the box so I'm sure in a way they add up for PR purposes. Thank you for your responses.

13s 15p or 20s 10p all things being equal.

I'm new to this so please bare with me and my silly questions. I'm back playing with what's my best solution, controller is an adjustable 48-84v 50Amp 500-1000w item so it's pretty conservative. Motor is the 72v item that will probably be fine. At present I have a luna 48v charger and a 48v 20ah tha...
