today marcoq has officially published on jobike that it will no longer release any version, its work ends like this. sorry I just can't understand that trouble. The configurator was originally developed by me, Casainho and Xnyle as open source for the kunteng firmware. Anybody can decompile marcoq'...

making the power factor a function of speed is a great idea. With the Bosch Nyon you can create your own profiles. The problem is the Java gui, that is under control of marcoq. @stanecoke: do you update/merge your repo everytime if there is a new release from marco? Hm, as far as I know, marcoq is inactive at the moment. Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

You can wish what you want, but the developer decide how to publish. The java configurator is closed source by Marcoq. Marcoq used the java-code of the Kunteng project as starting point for his configurator. I don't think he wants to keep his source code secret, but nobody has asked for it yet. reg...

Re: Understanding torque sensors

The use of the pure torquesensor signal is not satisfying. It gives to much power from standstill and to less at higher speeds. Better you use motor power = factor × human power. The factor can be depending on the speed. Human Power = 2×Pi×Torque@pedal×cadence = 2×Pi×torque@wheel×wheelspeed. So it d...

Re: KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW

-Does it mean I that I need to disassemble the motor? No, the sensorless controller has a little additional PCB that generates the hall-signal from the Back-EMF of the floating phase. You would have to start the motor in open loop until the Hall-signals are proper, than you can switch to closed loo...

Does it require firmwaring/adding components the controller/modding the motor?
It needs just software, no additional hardware. You could copy the code from casainhos commit. But you will need some basic understanding of the firmware to get it work.

Is it because no one has written firmware for this specific controller, or because of technical reasons?
You would have to implement 6 step (block) commutation. Casainho had done it in one of his very early commits.

Is it possible via firmware to modify the c5 parameter to have higher current/amps
Yes for sensored systems, No for sensorless systems, the firmware doesn't support sensorless control.

So because of that then your first suggestion at line 685 didn't work. OK, it seems, that the processor runs out of time. We had similar problems in the kunteng project. Really cool! :-)

Do you have to change some optionbyte settings, or will the UART bootloader work from the default settings of the stock firmware for flashing?
