Re: 5 Lines of Code to spin BLDC?!? On Youtube.

Alone the initialization of timers, GPIOs, ADC takes several hundred lines of code for a STM32. See the vesc-code or my Lishui-project . ST offers a motor control workbench , that makes things much easier for beginners, but the generated code has much more than 5 lines... A SVPM lookup table can be ...

I understand why it isn't, but it's a pity that the earlier versions cannot simply be found in the repo. ??? you can access every single commit on github with clicking on the paranthesis button. You'll get the normal screen, where you can press the green "clone or download" button. git_commit_overv...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Can you explain us briefly the advantage of a direct drive hub motor compared to the Tongsheng TSDZ2 mid-motor. Hm, this has been discussed thousand times already, it is more a "religious" question than a technical one. The middrive motor has only advantages at long and steep ascents. In all other ...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Is it possible to just put in all the settings then save the fill and then give them the file with my desired settings Yes, you can do your settings in the Java configurator, then press Copile&Flash. This will cause an error message in the command window, but that doesn't matter. A file with the re...

Re: KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW

would the firmware work with both the LCD4 and bluetooth adapter? No. If you want to use the LCD Display you have to adapt most settings in the Java-Tool. You can use the LCD for the basic settings max speed and wheel size. You could do the settings in BluOSEC and than flash the controller to LCD-M...

Re: KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW

Are there any plans to implement field weakening in this firmware? I will not implement that, but of course everybody is invited to do it  . It's very easy, you just have to increase the ui8_assumed_motor_position with the speed. You have to do the angle correction procedure later (or earlier...

Do you have an external +5V power supply for the BT-module? The controller internal +5V supply is known to be very weak, it can't handle any additional load. You can try to supply the hallsensors with external +5V, too.

Re: KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW

What about reverse ? Is it possible to implement ? On pad X4 may be ? Yes, of course. You just have to swap two pwm channels and change the angle interpolation. You have to check two following hall events to detect the direction and adapt the angle corresponding. I did it in the Lishui project just...

I've deleted my fork now, so mbrusas fork is listed direcly under the main project now.

As a big fan of direct drive hub motors, I won't contribute to this project any more :D

Perhaps the links have to be updated, but it's the best way, I think.

Don't forget to copy the wiki to the new repo before deleting the old :-)

Hm, seems that the mikrocontroller is defective. 3.3K is OK. you can disable the PWM output and toggle the pin manually in slow loop to check it....

Re: KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW

Can you check it exactly? The known hardware has no Half Bridge drivers, it has descrete boot strap circuits.
At standstill, Low and Highside have to have 50%duty cycle at 16kHz, so 2.5V with a simple meter on the pin ist OK.

For additional devices use a separate step down converter. Or is there another way to determine that? f...

There is no "automatic switch off" in the controller. What ist getting hot? The big resistor or the FETs with the complete housing?

Have you adjusted the motor specific angle properly?
