Re: A-Lines Abound: Wheel advice please!!

Thanks for the tip Matt! I was focusing on 26" wheels, never gave 24" a thought. At quick glance, I was able to find 36 hole rims that come in anodized green - to keep the look the bike already has! I'll have to do some more looking to see if I can find any info about durability, quality, and weight...

Re: A-Lines Abound: Wheel advice please!!

This bike turns heads. People love it. But I don't ride it much - a fact that I want to change. I built the bike to be bullet proof. Something that would eat up the famous Boston potholes without even trying. So.. downhill frame, motorcycle wheels... the thing is totally overbuilt. The first thing I...

I'd be totally interested in this with the 'without battery' option. Care to start a list/take a deposit?

Re: Qulbix Q76R Frame Kits & Complete Bikes PRE-ORDER

What an awesome bike frame! Ebikes.ca will soon be offering a pretty awesome ebike motor with 20mm thru-axle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljoA8xznXb0&t=0m22s My dream e-bike would be one of these Q76R frames with an Ebikes.ca motor as the drivetrain. How hard do you think it would be to make a re...

Re: JP spot welder

Call me late to the party... I've been away from ES riding pedal bikes awhile. Now I'm in the need to make a pack of 18650 cells... With these welders currently unavailable, any current owners out there done with their packs and interested in selling their JP Spot Welder? I'll pay full price for a "...

Re: The F3: I'm on Fire!

Is the bore 1.5" ? Alas Dom, no the bore is 1.375" (35mm), and there's definitely not enough material to bore it out to 1.5" You might want to try your hand at designing something custom. You see from that first modest bracket to my second waterjetted item (see link below) that with a bit of imagin...

Re: The MENSTRUAL Cycle: Great job supporting my extended tr

Hello Those brackets would work great as a BB shell mount for a 1-1/2" square tube trike. Could you point me in the right direction on where to find them, need to know where to get the special eye bolts also. Thanks a lot. Re: Long Term testing of an ATS Speed Drive

Glad you were able to fix it. Thanks Alan! I had a spare as you see in the pic, but with this failure I wanted to replace the spare. I was able to buy the last knurled type steel cone ring from Cycle Monkey earlier today. Seems retailers of the Schlumpf/ATS drivers are rare and getting more sparse ...

Re: Long Term testing of an ATS Speed Drive

March 2016: I found that as I pedaled the bike - whenever I mashed the gears (starting from a dead stop in a high gear; accelerating fast) there would be some "slipping" feeling. At first I thought it was the NuVinci N360 in the hub, but no... it was in the ATS drive. Any planetary gear system has 3...

Re: Considering [EDIT: Testing] a Schlumpf/ATS Speed Drive

Thread resurrection/update! Yesterday it was frightfully cold up these parts. It seemed every time I shifted from overdrive to 1:1, the clutch would skip. My pedal would slip with a snap! about 1/8 turn. Not enough to lose control, but enough to be disappointing. I've never oiled the system per its...

Re: Folding "Lefty Light Stick" - Keep the cagers at bay!

^ I see so few e-bikers in Boston. Mostly food delivery guys operating out of Salem St in the North End. I mostly ride non-electric bikes these days but still own and maintain my two e-bikes. If you ever go to Boston Bike Party I'm usually there, tap me on the shoulder and say Hi.

My Dahon is Aluminum. Probably have well over 5k miles on it at high power/speed. The stock front suspension couldn't handle the loads but the frame is still in top shape. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-JLfFSgI3eXs/UrEQRfiZ0II/AAAAAAAAEc4/GnGuScZa77I/s720/DSCF4479.JPG http://endless-sphere.com/f...

Sad to see this awesome bike has not found a good home yet.

I already have too many bikes and debts to manage for now, otherwise I'd be on this deal like flies on food.

Re: The F3: I'm on Fire!

Making electronics tough enough for ebikes is not easy. Indeed. This setup has been on the bike, untouched mostly for at least a year. Lots of rain, road salt, vibration over the many days and miles in between... Was there a main fuse or breaker? I use a detachable link (pictured below) as the ulti...

By the way, the spring that failed is a 27mm diameter ring (1 & 1/16") made of 0.57mm (0.0225mm) diameter wire.

Re: The F3: I've been blogged!

What's new? Freewheels. New freewheels. Recently my freewheel failed, I was pedaling, and when I put power to the pedals, the cranks spun a lot before the freewheel engaged. This happened for a few miles, and got worse until I could spin the pedals all day and not get the pedal drive to engage. Clas...
