Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I forgot to mention that I have installed the alpha 10 version since Saturday and of course it's fine!
Except emtb which I still don't like but it's not new :-)

Re: Bafang BBSHD BBS02 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

i think a "rocky mountain system" to relevate the torque it's better. Place sensor in the red square... place the same hall of tsdz2 and use the tsdz2 controller :D rocky mountain.JPG The advantage is that the rotating winding of the tsdz2 is not needed some mechanical complications but electronics ...

Re: Hardware temperature control tsdz2

Some information based on my experiences: 1) there is a way to see if an engine is burned. The current absorption increases excessively as there is a short circuit. If you can't get away with just a few watts (visible on the LCD03) it is likely that the engine is damaged. Obviously a damaged engine ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I think it is really difficult from the mechanical point of view to insert a torsimeter in the bbs. I have been thinking about it for a long time, inserting a hall sensor like that of tsdz2 and powering a bbs02 with an external tsdz2 control unit but mechanically it is not easy .... It could be easi...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I continue to think, as a personal opinion, of the unsuitable bbshd. in a mtb it is heavy and forces you to use huge heavy batteries. If you want to use it gently, why carry that weight? Do you really fool yourself that a 2000w bike chain holds? that a hub made for bikes can hold the power of a scoo...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

working with bafang engines is a good idea. But the bbshd is too powerful. There are transmission problems, the chains are broken, free wheels and hubs. Even the rear of most bicycles flexes with its power.

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Today I did 2 tests: installed the alpha 9 version on the 36v engine, obviously it works great. thank you! Unfortunately the emtb is still bad for me :-( Later I tried to power the 48v bike with a 36v battery. It becomes very quiet, it is still fully usable on the road. I think we are the only ones...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi guys, sorry, maybe the topic has already been treated but now there are hundreds of pages and it's not easy to find what you need. I have a strong mecanical play on the crown, the engine is a 48V and will have done 500-600Km I enclose a video ..... Do I have to worry? What can be done ? [youtube...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Today tour of 53 km, 800m altitude difference v. 20 alpha5, no off-road but all unpaved roads. Full gt force mtb bike. Everything perfect, used only power mode trying to save on consumption but not too much, about 600wh consumed. Thanks to the modification of the engine he never reached even the 70 ...

Re: Hardware temperature control tsdz2

I share. before the modification it was enough to climb 2 km to go over 90 °. On the road even worse if I tried to go to the maximum power on 6-8% climbs, starting from a 55 ° motor already after a km I was almost at 100 °.

Re: Hardware temperature control tsdz2

I honestly don't understand how it is possible to go to the mountains without at least one temperature sensor. I believe that most users have a damaged engine and don't know it. Of course, if you use the bike 3-4 times a month, it will probably last a lot. I do those routes every day :-)

Re: Hardware temperature control tsdz2

Looking at the picture of your motor that it is brown, it is almost for sure already demagnetized/damaged and so has lower torque and pulling more current, that will result you pulling more current to have the desired assistance and it will get hot even faster....... I suggest you to replace you mo...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Forgive me a little strange question. Is it possible to power a 48v motor with a 36v battery? are there any drawbacks? I have to do a long tour and I would like to use a 36v battery, at least for the stretch on the flat. In the firmware what should I change, besides the battery? the engine type rema...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

pedalling is not natural anymore, you don't feel the road. I partly agree. However the torque mode is oscillating, on my specialized brose it is not so. Help is constant during pedaling as in power mode. Perhaps in torque mode it would be enough to slow down the fall of the watts at each pedal stro...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I think there is some confusion. startup is a problem while emtb is another. emtb must serve to increase more than proportionally the power with a greater pressure of the pedals as if one were changing level but with the assumption of being already in motion. It is true that in mtb it happens to sta...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

honestly, I am not motivated to update. I don't like the logic of emtb ... and the walk assist is fine as it was before. What you would want(?): Motor power = (Pedal torque * pedal cadence * [assist multiplier]) ^ X yes, I'd give it a chance :-) however as I said it is not a big problem for me, I fi...
