Re: Kuberg Free Rider

Fully assembled Kuberg Freerider sold by Kuberg, has a VIN number. BTW, Kuberg Florida is Kuberg's own distribution centre, not a dealer. So they certainly would be a good source of information.

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

The Revolution bikes are mid drive. Maybe in the past they used to be hub drive, I am not sure ... Have a look here .... https://hpcbikes.com/collections/electric-bikes/products/revolution-m From efficiency standpoint, wouldn't the losses on the Schlumpf be notably lower? I mean when I talked to peo...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

Can someone explain to me, how the dual drive system of LMX is better or different than a bike with Schlumpf high speed drive (like for example HPC Revolution bike). Obviously a bike with Schlumpf is not dual in a sense of two separate chain drives, but what about longevity, power delivery, reliabil...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

As requested, we made some video of trail riding without pedalling. Rider is Tom, one of the interns (motorcycle assembly and maintenance) at LMX. He has been with us since August and will stay 3 years total. Thanks for the video ... this looks great in my opinion. Very tempting to order. I love th...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

I second the request. I get that the main treat of the bike is the combined power from legs and motor, but to see what the e-system can do on its own would be very helpful, to get an overall idea.

Re: 2018 Mrazek RevX superlight electric freerider

Bike looks good. They will have two frame variations and two wheel sets. At least that's the way I understand it. I would probably opt for trial frame/seat and MTB wheels which are lighter with less aggressive knobby rubber . I think it's good they give customers options, because everyone has differ...

Re: Kuberg Freerider Extended Swingarm Project

Nice work. I am going to say that the bike is being held back by the tires. Unless, I m not seeing it right, these are more like mild trial tires, not an aggressive decent pro off-road tread. Unless, of course you wanted hybrid road/off-road tire ... With proper tire and riders being close to equal,...

Re: 2018 Mrazek RevX superlight electric freerider

I'd prefer this color combo with black rims and battery box roundy shape and the same color as trelli frame ... very tasty. The shape of the box below, clearly gives less room for the battery module inside ... so I guess, they were forced into the square box out of necessity. My guess. I must say th...

Re: 2018 Mrazek RevX superlight electric freerider

Agreed.

I can also see how the battery box, on any bike will be evolving, as the energy density evolves. The rest of bikes not to such a great extent.

I personally don't put much value into the box, as long as it can be easily removed, take a hit and keep the battery safe.

Re: 2018 Mrazek RevX superlight electric freerider

You can tell from Bob's video that the motor is certainly proprietary clean slate design.

The controller, I don't much yet about... Other than that it's made in-house.

Looks to me like a solid effort, involving more people not just Bob.

Re: 2018 Mrazek RevX superlight electric freerider

I've been able to get some info regarding the battery module .... weight 13kg; dims 475 l 200 w 85 h ... they are using SONY US18650VTC6 3120 mAh cells. The module is easily removable via 4 hex bolts.

Re: 2018 Mrazek RevX superlight electric freerider

Interesting bike for sure. Regarding the price ... it's actually priced a bit better than LMX161. While the bikes are not really in the same class, to me each will have its pros and cons. Depends what you are looking for .... sort of light and hybrid MTB goat which could be made street legal at plac...

Re: electric trial bike

Well, it's too bad he's been testing 20" wheel version. I don't speak French but it looks to me like the 20" wheels. Clearly, it needs 24" wheels which will have inevitably longer swingarm. The same thing happened with Freerider ... sort of. First, they offered it in 20" version....

Re: electric trial bike

Anyone has seen Kuberg Challenger in flesh? .... Or at least a video, other than the promotional one or unboxing one. Real trial riding terrain. Didn't but it suggests that it will bounce you out of the bike pretty easy, its a crooked design for a trials bike.. Can you pls elaborate what gives you ...

Re: LMX 161 pre-wired base kit

Thanks. I personally am done with cheap forks and rears shocks. It always comes back to bite me. BTW, I know the retailers and a shops which can order Dorado, but not at a price I like. I guess there must be sime Hayes policy, that this fork is only available on eBay, instead of at many online retai...

Re: LMX 161 pre-wired base kit

Yep, I have done plenty of bad decisions with dirt bikes as far forks. I swore that this bike needs to get the right bits within 1000C$. Plus it needs to be rebuild able with easily found support. I am just puzzled that all online links lead to Taiwan or Australia... Nothing in US. BTW, how did you ...

Re: LMX 161 pre-wired base kit

Yep, it seems like I am right now set on the Dorado. Either expert or Pro, not huge price difference and identical internals. But it seems, for some reason very hard to get online in US or Canada... Which is puzzling, since it is US company, eh?
