Looks like a neat project - how is it going?
I have a PMSM motor (Hawk60) that I need to buy/make a controller for, and this sounds interesting.

Re: 30Ah 28s LiPo from 7s bricks
Yes, I saw that. No mention if it is water resistant (IP65) or can be read in direct sunlight though. It would be the best for what I really need, and is inexpensive, but I may have to coat the circuit board for water protection and shield it somehow so it can be read. I've also looked that the AEM ...

Re: 30Ah 28s LiPo from 7s bricks
Thanks for asking, I've been looking at the Zeva BMS as well so had similar thoughts... As I understand it... I'll need a master BMS and a couple slaves to monitor the pack (once I decide what cells / bricks to use) when running. Those will need to talk to the motor controller and something overall ...

Re: 30Ah 28s LiPo from 7s bricks
Charging a large number of LiPo bricks seems to be a real ordeal compared to Li-ion. I'm looking at the 5200mAh 22v ones as the best match. Apparently they should not hold a full charge for long before use. Yet I have to charge 2 sets of 35 or so bricks before a race day at what, a half hour each (f...

Re: 30Ah 28s LiPo from 7s bricks
Following closely, as I've bit the bullet and are working out the details of a build. Your array looks pretty close to mine (I just have a little more capacity calculated in). What do you think of the LiPo bricks so far? I read lots of good and bad about them, but have no experience with that formul...

Re: Equipmake's spoke motor
The 120R motor looks interesting for a motor ran at 720v. I wonder how proud ($$) of that motor and inverter setup they are?
Anyone contacted Equipmake about these?

Re: Electric kart
Hey - found your thread!
That weight is quite good. My 80cc shifter with me and fuel is about 208 Kg. Of course it doesn't help much that I'm about 95 Kg's of that weight. I'd really like to pursue a setup like this instead of upgrading to a 125 KTM setup with the Mechatron paddle shifter.
