Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
no more than "30mph on flat ground", no more than 3hp. I've been considering how to implement a mode of throttle that would limit speed near 30mph on flat, but still let it rev out on downhills and not bog down going uphills. What would you do about it being more than 3 horsepower? 6KW = ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
Can someone tell me what are the dimensions of the battery pack? I want to order a fireproof box for it. Thanks! Really ? What's wrong with asking about the dimensions of the battery pack? Seems more on topic than folks recommending what micro-brewery to visit. Besides just the battery dimensions, ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
for that price i would immediately buy a set of surrons if i could ride them legal. iam sure someone will do that In my state (Idaho), the only thing keeping a Sur-Ron for being legal for off-highway use (which is literally everywhere except freeways and highways) is getting a title for it. To get ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
Anyone manage to get a title? It would be nice to be able to make it legal for off-highway use. Gary from Luna Cycles said I had to contact the manufacturer to inquire about obtaining a Certificate of Origin. I sent Sur-Ron an email, will share their response. Seems like the cert should come in the ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
FYI: Luna has a ASI controller on one of their test bikes. They say because the ASI has field weakening it spins 20% faster so they made a 60t sprocket for it:

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
I have fitted Zefal front guards to my RST equipped bikes, easy install secured with provided Velcro straps. You will have a few more Light Bee owners nearby soon as I’ve had a lot of interest from NZ guys. I ordered mine with the RST fork. There are a number of different Zefal fenders. Could you t...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
Got new bars installed. I went with the Answer protaper 810 with 3" rise. Now the bike is perfect for me. Only issue, was I pulled a wire putting on the brakes. I am unaware of how the electric brakes work on this. I noticed that the grub screws weren't tightened all the way on the brake wires...
