Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5
Guys could you explain or give a link about the assistant modes? So we have: 1. Street mode or Offroad mode 2. Boost mode off / on 3. Emtb mode off / on ( what mode it will be if i turn it off, it is default in my java configurator ) On my feelings street mode gives more power. But i tested all the...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
My friends TSDZ2 stopped working. Opened it up. Guessing the motor is burned to a crisp. I think the cracks in the yellow and green wire insulation may be due to heat where they touch the motor case?

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5
So once i get my temperature sensor and limits set to under 80c. Is there any reason to not program the controller for 18amps battery and 9000w motor limit? Thinking that would run at 900watts or so when temperature is low. Currently have it set to 14amps battery and 500w motor limit limit, as to no...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
QuirkyOrk, What thermal pad thickness do you recommend? i saw they start at 0.5mm and go up by 0.5mm increments. Thanks I used these 2mm pads (The only reason I chose these was it shipped from the US and I am inpatient :D ) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Grey-GPU-CPU-Heatsink-Thermal-Conductive-Silicone-...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
Does anyone have good instructions for installing the temperature sensor on the 8 wire version. I just got my replacement motor and don't want to burn up this one also. Last time I tried to install i think i ended up splicing into the wrong wires as it acted like ebrake was activated when sensor was...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
Here in Boston we just had the hottest July on record, so I took it upon myself to do a thermal management mod for the TSDZ2. I was routinely having to dial back my assist usage to stay below 75C on my 23 mile (37km) round trip commute so I decided I would do something about the TSDZ2's awful therm...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5
I have constructed the programming cable and ready to flash the motor using the Marcoq software (a big thanks @Marcoq and others for your amazing work). I am struggling though to locate a list of the settings that I need to use that will be specific for my 52v motor with 52V 14Ah 14S battery. Does ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
However the dimensions of the motor shaft are ridiculous, you can see in the picture the comparison with a pen. As you can see, I am an engine burn expert, the neighbor is the rotor of a bpm hub :D :D I agree, little bigger more durability. I don't care very much for weight, because it's electric b...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
It was all of a sudden, when changing gears I felt some resistance for 10 seconds and then stopped. I am sorry. Maybe we can improve the firmware to try avoid such situations. I will talk with other developers about this. I had glued in temp sensor 3 rides previous, but not connected it yet. Temp s...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
it's not a short circuit it's just too much heat. I have repeatedly seen the temperature sensor reach 105 degrees. I think it's a miracle if my engine is still able to turn. a short circuit does not burn the windings, the motor stops first. This is the reason that led me to radical changes shown in...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
My motor cooked itself 2500km+ Blue gear still good. Not sure if overheated or controller cooked it. Noticed small break in yellow wire housing, maybe that shorted to the case. 0870622A-6EE3-4867-A04E-A58E228F3874.jpeg It was suddenly? Or was something slow? Maybe you need to install the temperatur...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5
Looks like my bike cooked itself. Not sure if controller failed or phase wire was rubbing on motor case? 2500km plus. Blue gear still perfect. Yellow housing looks like it had a small break in it.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5
Well I hit 2504km today and my bike made a bit of a louder sound now E07 Error on the display. Any idea what is broken with E07 error? Also has a bunch of resistance and a bit of vibration when pushing the bike backwards even without the battery on.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
I just bought my second motor from PSW but there seems to be a loose panel on the drive side where the cables goes. Do I need to worry about water getting in? Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
I have my motor apart, can someone kindly link me to a good diagram for installing the temperature sensor? I have the 8 wire throttle version. What three wires do I cut? Thanks, the diagram on the wiki is not super clear. Cut the orange wire for the signal. Spliced into white wire for 5v, spliced i...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5
Has anyone setup the temperature sensor. When I plug in the sensor the bike starts up with 1 battery bar and will not move. Did I likely mess up the wiring? Orange wire to output of sensor, spliced into white for +5, Spliced into Black for ground. I get 5v across the white and black wires, so I gue...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
The 52V battery is a poor choice for the 15A version of the TDSZ2. Assuming the max charge for each cell to be 4.2V and the performance cliff voltage to be 3.35 a 13 cell 48V battery will have a fully charged voltage of 56.6. Full charge on my 52V battery is 58.8, BUT my 15A TDSZ2 will not start un...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
Warning. It cost me $72CAD after duty and shipping to get a single blue gear shipped to me from pswpower. Consider ordering an extra gear if you are going to order this motor.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
Hi, 1) I'm unclear on which version I should be flashing in ST Visual Programmer. The Wiki says the LCD and motor are x6, but the video and Eco cycles says x4 (for the motor)? I have read that you can use x4 for original firmware, but you have to select x6 if using the open source firmware. Not sur...
