Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
How feasible would it be to run this motor without an LCD? Could be useful for troubleshooting, or just a minimalist setup. Not sure if it could start without a power button. Many batteries have on off switches on them.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
TSDZ2 can sustain about 500W continuous if you ise a 52V battery. This means it can sustain 9.5-10A continuous, I'm guessing. With 48V nominal that would be 450-480W. I've got 48V 750W from PSWpower, and it states in the description that it is 15A motor. Is there a difference between this one and t...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5
Did you install a temperature sensor(possibly incorrectly?). Someone else had the wrong wiring for the temp sensor and their display looked like that. Try reconnecting main cable connection to LCD, might be bad connection on data wire. Check for damage to the main cable wire. Others have had succes...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5
I have just tried the newest version 19a/036, and it worked great for a few km's. But after stopping at a store, I turned off the battery when I went in, and when I came out, nothing works. The display (vlcd5) almost seems frozen, no buttons are working, not info, not +- assistance level.. speedome...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
Does anyone know how to change the max voltage on the 850c version of the TSDZ2. If I try to change these values, is it likely I'll possibly brick my controller? data.png data.txt program.txt Why don't you install our OpenSource firmware on your TSDZ2 and 850C display? Hi Marcoq, why should it not work? I believe that the SW of the TSDZ2 is the same I think they have only adapted the connections ... of course the keys to configure the options may not match, Wpenner since you have the opportunity to test why you do not install it and so we check how it was done fo...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5
You only need 3 wires from the USB programmer. Just pull the metal connectors out of the plastic housing on the programmer and put some shrink tube around them. Then you will be able to fit the three wires into the correct pins on the speed sensor connector. If you use 4 wires as some diagrams show...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
I'm about to order a kit from PSWPower with the VLCD5 display but the more I read the more confused I get. If I use the VLCD5 can I still flash the firmware? Would I be missing anything important that only using the KT-LCD3 can do, or can I still change any inaccessible settings by reflashing the c...

Hi guys, sorry for the noob question... Just received tsdz2 with vlcd5 ( 6pin ) from pswpower. Do i need to upload any new firmware to the VLCD ( as for KT-LCD3 )? Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5
Finally got my programmer and loaded up the firmware. Was easy to just use the shrink wrap on the programming leads and not having to buy speedo extension cable. Took a while to get the pinout scouring the forum though. What is the max Watts for the controller I can set? It has less power than the o...
