Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

After several commuting 24km roundtrips, I'm surprised how easy is to overheat this thing. Today on 12km trip, where 30% of it was in speed or turbo mode because of the inclines, whole motor case was pretty warm to the touch. I didn't push it too much, just tried to maintain speed over 15km/h on in...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Oh well, I knew it could not be that simple. It looks like I may now have to buy another motor as I don't know if I could do a good job at stripping it down and replacing it. I'm a bit wary of its reliability now though as it was very creaky and squeaky when I pedaled and there seemed to be a bit o...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Very soon I will release the new firmware version and new java configurator ... the programs will be completely compatible with the VLCD5, VLCD6 and XH18 displays. There will be important implementations and advanced features that will make the bike enjoyable to ride! :D :D :D Awesome. Can’t wait t...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I can't get my bike to go over 10-13 MPH. I went into VLDC5 display speed setting. 750 watt 48 volt 10aH Landcrossers battery. Also how far should the spoke magnet be from the frame mounted sensor? Thanks. If you changed the speed units to MPH, the motor speed limit setting remains in KPH. If you p...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi Guys, I am seeking a bit of help with my second build. I have a 48v TSDZ2 with VLCD5 (brand new from PSWPower via AliExpress). I have a 52v (14s2p battery, charged to 50.2v) I have connected everything using the standard wiring. I am planning to flash with 18.2 and I have the KT-LCD3 ready to go...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Where is a good place to order a known good lm35 temperature sensor from that ships to Canada for not too much money. I see lots of defective ones for sale on AliExpress.

Also what max temperature are people setting their bike at?

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Has anyone installed and tested out a temperature sensor with this firmware? Motor will cut off if it gets too hot? I’m also curious what Max safe temperature would be and max power setting for 48v 13s. I currently have 48v 500w stock firmware from pswpower, vlcd5. Is that 10amps by default? I’m wai...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Took my new TSDZ2 setup to work a few times now. Ride home, 650ft elevation, went from 21 minutes to 16 minutes. Stock gearing seems fairly reasonable with a 9 speed cassette. I had to pull off my crank to really tighten the bottom bracket nut as it was creaking like crazy. I don't think i'll be usi...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

One trip of my commute is 16 km long, with a big downhill at the end. No particular problem to go (excepted that I lost the battery on a small jump, I forgot to lock it...). But on the way back, after 3 km uphill, the controller limited the current at ~8amps. It was a bit warm outside, near 30°C, a...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi, and thank you for letting me in to the forum. Planning to convert a 3 wheeled coaster brake handicap bike, to electric. A 250 watt TSDZ2 coaster version seems like a good choice. When ordering i got feedback from seller ( Ali - Ebird store) that the brake lever with engine cut-off and thumb thr...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I had to remove the torque arm so I could rotate the motor another couple mm to skip the protruding part. I guess I’ll throw some zip ties through the hole for now. There is a small rubbing sound once per revolution of the pedals looks like the chainring hitting the plastic a tiny bit. Anyone else h...

Re: Are BMSBattery's Generic 18650 Cells Any Good?

I'm just trying to find the best value assembled 48v battery shipped to Canada. I'd like to try the budget one out, but not if it is going to be a complete piece of garbage that only lasts one year. I could not find any reviews of them using the search. Wondering if $135 extra is worth the Panasonic...

Are BMSBattery's Generic 18650 Cells Any Good?

Has anyone had success with a generic cell battery from bmsbattery?

I really could use the savings, but if it only will last a year i guess the Panasonic cells are a better value. Using with 500watt motor.
