Re: How to for Wiring schematics for electric controllers

The Bladez throttles came in 2 varieties. A potentiometer and an On-Off. If you are getting different voltage readings off it, it is a potentiometer. Most all throttles now are hall effect, a few are potentiometers, but are usually quite pricey. If you are not going to use the bladez throttle, I wou...

Downloaded and installed on my Note 3.

With the phone in vertical mode it is cutting off the sides, I can't read the numbers. with no way to scroll. If I turn my phone sideways I can see everything.

Or add a large relay that bypasses the controller. Kind of like a turbo button. first accelerate through the controller, then bypass it and you know that you are getting 100% juice to the motor I sorta like the idea, but I am not sure how long I could press the bypass button before melting stuff. I...

Look at serial drives. A small motor to the rear wheel on the left side. Look at Recumpence's builds. Or my mountain bike build.

Re: Aussie EV Autocross Special

Are you still operating without a CA and a CA Logger? If so, that is your problem. Until you can study and evaluate what your speed, amps, and volts are doing at all points, you will have no idea what is going on. You can't diagnose a problem if you can't evaluate it properly.

I do this also, when riding with GF. Sometimes I even turn it on and activate regen.

Re: Ideas about opening up an electric bicycle store.

I have worked at an Ebike shop on and off for about 8 years in Orlando. The owner is a doctor and a "Green" guy. He swears the shop does not make money, but he doesn't care. Seams to me our biggest customers are "DUI" recipients. We have everything under the sun coming in for repairs, including gas ...

I didn't realize it was the on off one. I thought your original was a variable. You cannot use a variable throttle with an on off controller.

Re: 6-pin to 3-pin throttle

Usually the extra 3 wires are for the batt charge lights on the throttle. You don't need them with the new throttle. Should just need the red black and green(sometimes blue) wire.

I am running an adapto on mine, and it feels as though I have hit the eRPM limit as I went from 72 volts to 80 volts with no change. I haven't spent time tuning the adapto, so I may need to do more work with it. The motor is awesome and runs cool

Re: Turnigy 9225-90 Motor Specifications

Thanks.

I used an Astro 3220 and Castle HV110 controller once on my electrathon. It would stutter badly, but get going. Once moving no issue. I always was afraid of blowing up my controller and ended up removing it.

Are you going to add Hall sensors, or run it sensorless?

If sensorless how do you start from a stop? I have had issues with that in the past.

no, the motor will just start spinning, that is why you need the wheel off the ground

Re: Sunwinn 1500W controller wiring with 9C hub motor

I hooked it up yesterday, so going from my memory... Hooked it up, with wheel off ground and turned on controller (Connect small red wire). Twist throttle and motor will not turn, grunting sound. Hooked up 2 white wires and motor spun correct direction. Disconect 2 white wires, and throttle works no...
