Re: lf controller 20kw+

Well im unhappy once again with asi response so i might go mobipus after further research. Seems like a good unit with alot of punch for the size and not too hard to use either. I could even use my pc water cooling stuff to cool it off as its compatible with their water cooled version

Re: lf controller 20kw+

Sevcon and ASI don't really want retail sales, only large volume OEM. Both of these are excellent controllers but extremely hard to get properly set up. Another option would be Curtis: https://www.curtisinstruments.com/products/ac-motor-controllers/ theres now a online store on asi website maybe th...

Re: lf controller 20kw+

Kelly has excellent customer service. I once blew up my Controller by hooking up the battery wrong and it only cost me 20€ (Shipping to China) to get it fixed/replaced. On a smaller ebike Controller I had a bad connection to the Battery (failed EC5 Connector). It also blew up, but since it was past...

lf controller 20kw+

theres quite a few choices out there and cant seem to decide on which one i want. ideally 40s/144v but 30s and 20s would do too. reliability and customer service are my top 2. price doesnt matter too much unless it gets ridiculous so 1000 usd as a maxish smallish would be nice if it can go higher th...

Only about 120 left. If i was to buy a batch what model you guys would prefer? Im looking at getting 25r 30q and more hg2 atm. Id like to start offering 18650s at a better price for canadians. Shipping from literally anywhere outside the country cost a fortune but its mitigated with bulk orders.

Re: Reliable source for non fake cells?

I find it interesting that there's no direct market for cell manufacturers... We're basically buying cells that have been passed through 2-4 hands by the time we get to bid/buy them... Does anyone know why cell manufacturers do this? Just easier to cell to large retailers in consistent quantities? ...

Re: Chargers - What is the go-to "charge anything" charger?

I would say icharger 4010 duo. Can charge 2 batteries at once, do balancing, about 10 different type of chemistry, very nice display, does charge/discharge cycles, will put your batteries in a good storage voltage and the list just keeps going.

Re: 15+kw hub motor?

Yep, it sound like you are not comvinced with people telling you to use the 205, so the only other choice is the 273. It will weigh a ton and you will need a custom swingarm to accommodate the wider axle. A great dragster motor, but not sure its the correct choice for off roading. Just trying to se...

Re: 15+kw hub motor?

Ill most likely be running 30s so 126 volt at full charge if my math doesnt suck too much. I know qs205 got many choices for wiring turns. Was just wondering if there was something "better". i know theres cromotor that seems to be very similar too. I got a crystalyte atm but they dont seem to make s...

15+kw hub motor?

Whats the best option for 150/155mm drop out? Looking to do a motocross kinda ebike. Needs tons of torque with 50-60 mph top speed. Shooting for 15+kw possibly 20+. So whats out there that wont over heat too much if i use ferro fluid and hub sink? No i do not want a mid drive. I want to keep it as s...

Re: High power ebike frame

QS273 is the completely wrong motor for your purposes. You do not need 20kw for off-roading. 20kw peak power is just over the top and a waste of battery fuel. The weight of a 273 in a motorbike rim and a mx tyre is going to be like having the Titanics anchor attached to the rear end of a trail bike...

Re: High power ebike frame

Qs273 is a BIG motor. It’s going to handle like shit pretty much anywhere except for drag racing. Too much rotational mass too far away from the best place (the middle). For off-road you will want to go with a mid drive. Your best bet for a swingarm is still a dirtbike 200mm swingarm. That takes ca...

Re: High power ebike frame

Like I say 72 volt and a battery that can push 100 amps get a temp gauge on that motor as not to melt as I have melted many Cytalyte Muxus 9c and bmc motors. Same batteries. But heavy. Looking for new source for high power battery. High capacity go far Low Watts. What battery combo are you comforta...

I think 5000 Watts is the beginning of enjoyment. Go for it.
Yeah i got a 3000 watt ebike atm and coming from motocross its lacking lol. Really fun to zip around and commute but off road its meh.

I just wonder where do the "ripping" starts
