Re: Qulbix Q140MD VS. LMX VS. Neematic VS.???

I rode it in ~20 celsius. Ambient temperature doesn't make a huge difference. I would go for the high torque version where the max speed is 55km/h. I actually bought every single chainwheel so I can swap it later :). and I bought the moto seat along with the bicycle seat as well. The moto seat is wa...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD VS. LMX VS. Neematic VS.???

Yeah your weight changes it a lot. It will be fine probably regarding overheating.
The throttle is too sensitive.Sometimes I accidentally twist it just a really tiny bit because of some road imperfection and then it starts accelerating hard.

Re: Qulbix Q140MD VS. LMX VS. Neematic VS.???

In your opinion, why would someone want a high power bike like this or the Vector? Because hard acceleration is fun :) But you can't really use that power in a forest trail.I rode a lot of times in the forest with it. It's simple: IF you take it easy (retired grandpa mode, the way ben rode in the fo...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD VS. LMX VS. Neematic VS.???

Put belt drive on the sur ron. It will be almost as quiet as a hub motor setup. What the CA shows is based on the calibration. You could make it show 20kW if you change the settings. The controller is not capable of 15kW. Check the vector bikes. They sell their bikes with the same controller and they...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD VS. LMX VS. Neematic VS.???

I own a Q140MD as well. It's a nice bike for sure but if you wanna get more for your money I would buy a sur ron with pedal kit. It's a better design overall but with less power. If you can live with slower acceleration I would go for that. The vector mid drive is also nice. Avoid rear hub motor ebike...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

Good for you.If we would have snow in Hungary I would drift it in snow all day for sure. Mine is in service right now :( I had to send the rear wheel to Qulbix so they can rebuild it because the hub gave up after only 1200km.Poor quality what can I say..Hopefully they will replace it with a better o...

Re: Alta Motors Redshift

I'd be very interested to hear how that turns out too - I guess you'd have to get a fairly stiff spring on it to cope with the bikes weight? You don't have to. The Fox 40 Float is an Air fork so you can dial it in based on your requirements. Put more air in it if you want it to be harder,or let som...

Re: Alta Motors Redshift

And the suspension is actually pretty good too ;) The DNM suspension on the qulbix is actually horrible. The fork is sticky, small bump sensitivity is non existent. It's acceptable as long as you don't ride fast.I have a Q140MD as well and after a hard high speed off-road ride my hand hurts. It shakes...

Re: What controller + display instead of sabvoton

Sabvoton with the tft display is nice looking, but it's very limited.Pre-set power settings what cannot be changed,no temp sensing. The power meter is also trash. I wouldn't buy it again to be honest..I rather look at the 90's display and have my own settings. And you can always go without a display :...

Re: E-bike + downhill frame + Mxus hub motor + 24s lipo

Okay well, next time build it for a 5 years this way maybe you can assemble it properly so it won't fall apart after a 15 minute ride. If you'll sell your next build include this in the description: bent frame? maybe built wrong? maybe will it fall apart in 15 minutes? maybe did I forget to put somet...

Re: E-bike + downhill frame + Mxus hub motor + 24s lipo

Different attitude? Maybe you should tell the buyer all the faults of the bike before selling it don't you think? I told you that I can make a video showing you all the issues but you didn't care so I assume you already knew it. You just "forgot" to mention it before selling it  You're just a s...

Re: E-bike + downhill frame + Mxus hub motor + 24s lipo

Maybe because I was curious how a hub motor based ebike feels like, and I didn't have time to build one from scratch. And you looked like a guy who knows what he's doing. I guess the bent right upper suspension joint was a present as well. Even after I told you all the issues you just started ignoring...

E-bike + downhill frame + Mxus hub motor + 24s lipo

Yeah I got a really good looking bike. Sadly he sent me a a half-done bike. It looks good on the pictures but it's rotten inside. Frame is slightly damaged,I couldn't compress the rear shock because the chain didn't allow it to.Not sure how someone can be that stupid that he doesn't notice that.. It...

About 2 months old, works and sounds like a new one. I upgraded to an Anthem 2 so i had to buy a 100mm one sadly. The 1 to 4 cable, brake levers,46T chainring, speed sensor, crank arms are brand new.
