My experience want so great, burnt two up quite easily, was my first foray into ebikes, still burning motors up, difference being, now they cost 10 times more lol

Seriously though, unless your on a very tight budget I would steer clear of the unite motors...

I have several pc watering pumps that will give you more than enough flow rate if you wish to try then at any stage Chris... Luke, could to fast flow rate ever be an issue? fluid not staying in contact with either motor or rad iator long enough?

@crossbreaks...I'm yet to plug my Kelly in and program it, things nuts straight out of the box, I guess it depends on the model and firmware installed, I did get the benefit of customised firmware coded specifically for my modified motor, not what you know tiz who you know sometimes teehehe...

Have read many posts over the years about BMS causing issues, they weren't given the name Battery Murdering System for nothing... Looked into building one of these coupe years back, as I am a paraplegic Myself...I read up on these quads, and found something like 6 month waiting time once Order had been placed and paided for...things might have improvedsince then, hopefully The price came down to iirc they are $8000 or so??? Congrats on the record.... Under 100 pound is impressive with those speeds for sure, the trike is obviously able to be peddled to reasonable speed also..

Couldn't get out of sight on a dark night under pedal power on Luke's bike nor johns, does johns even have chain on it, i don't think it does?

Great to watch the progression of this custom build you know, when I joined ES years ago there were very few full custom builds, was Wally world bikes with duct taped batteries, pleasing to come to the board and see so many ground up build,, it's really not that difficult imho, if you have the time ...

Regarding the mechanical lag, I use the rear brake to load the wheel while introducing throttle, the freewheel is the loaded when I want instant power without the lag...try it out
