Usage of our OpenSource firmware on a closed proprietary software So, an user warned me about this, that Marcoq is making his work as a closed proprietary while is uses our own firmware, licensed as GPL. Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I am very happy that you like the idea, but I was thinking, and I believe that if it is not too much trouble, and there is enough memory space, the ideal would be to have two parameters that can be changed by the user: 1- User calibration weight available with an approximation of 0.1 or 0.5 kg (thi...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I think the best way to adapt the torque sensor to the various users is: 1- Read the rest value of ADC steps during power on and add a low pass filter of one or two ADC steps (for resting value); 2- Create a user parameter that set the ADC value for a know Force applied maybe 30Kg could be a good v...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Has anyone ordered parts from Psw-Power lately. I ordered parts for June 28th and June 29th. The order I made on June 29th came on July 5th. The first order hasn't even started yet. I sent them an email and the answer was: The courier company has not provided the tracking number to us, please wait a...

Re: New

Does anyone no why all the 52v controllers are out of stock everywhere?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I think it is same controller as 48 V version, because there is no 52 V version of TSDZ2. Only 36 V and 48 V versions and you can put 52 V battery to 48 V version. Here is 48 V controller: ht...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I will install temperature sensor to my TSDZ2. Wiki says to use LM35 sensor. Is LM335 also usable? I can get that on my local electronic shop. Here is datasheet: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm135.pdf Isn't the 335 the Kelvin version? I believe you want the 35 which is the Celsius version. So i...

Will soon make another pull request. Sorry if it seems slow but am working with many things at the same time. Need to test every change and validate. Many changes are dependent on other parts so they need to be developed in parallel.
Take your time. You are making good work.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I'm not interested in flashing any firmware, is there a way to set the low voltage on the VLCD6? I'm pretty surprised and disappointed that it only uses half the battery ? And after reading most or this thread before purchasing no one has made mention of this? So do you use open source firmware or ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

No you don't have to flash firmware but you have to configure display after flashing new firmware.
I think battery low cut off is set for 48 V battery to 39 V. There is lot of config to do afters flashing.

Yeah you got it. I recommend v0.19, I didn't remember that casainho released stable version. I have been riding with 0.19-beta8, which is same as v0.19. Good luck. Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thank you. I did some more experiments. And finally solved it. I installed v0.19.0-beta2 and boom: the LCD suddenly got it's image back. Tried 0.18.2 again and no image on the LCD. So installed v0.19.0-beta2 again and the image was back. This is how my LCD normally works: When I am updating the LCD...

Hi All - I just fitted a TSDZ2/48V, all stock & standard, but it appears to be defective. All appears well, but I get no significant assist at any level, but the motor is trying to do something . The throttle makes the chainwheel turn very slowly and gently. I made a video . Is this a known failure...

Proposal for validating measured human power 1. by now, I think we trust well on the measurements done by TSDZ2 for battery(motor) current and battery voltage. I did calibrate with a good multimeter that measurements and other did validate after. 2. we could try to compare the battery power usage V...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Can anyone do some repetitive measurements like this: 1. pedal in medium inclination hill to achieve a constant wheel speed of like 10 kms/h (with TSDZ2 motor disabled) and take note of the measured human power on LCD3. 2. using walk assist and not pedaling, configure a PWM duty-cycle value in a wa...
