Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I got myself pair of these Bafang magnetic brake sensors to use with Opensource firmware, but now I see that these have 3 wires instead of 2. Any idea if this type of sensors actually uses 3 wires? In case you need to collect sensor data under defined load from the users (as buba started about a week ago), please try to sketch a procedure/guideline for a standard test (that can be repeatable) and we will collect our measurements.

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

My first question: is this a real issue or desire for optimization? -- I ask this because I never felt anything that I think this can the source of an issue. The issue is noticeable only at very low assistance (0.1 in my case), where you need to reach a certain amount of human power to activate the...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Not possible to use the Marcoq firmware as the community has discussed to make the Walk Assist safer, closed loop controlled, more predictable, with better user interface using the buttons, etc. Not difficult just takes time. And I have always used my time to make other changes I felt are more of a...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Possible suggestion for the future: the new vlcd5 version of Marcoq has an "EMTB" level similar to the bosch. Implementing such a thing on lcd03? Interesting! Actually, another user, bart594, brought that to my attention before and I was curios how it felt. Anyone know how it feels? Can not promise...

Hi, if you mean the backwards (forward) counting of the battery mW , then I can say that I am a fan of this feature and I use it regulary! For me one of the highlights :-) And why? Can you please elaborate and compare with the other mode?? If the function you mention is the SoC from 100 to 0 based ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Thanks buba, crystal clear! For the blinking assist I can wait without problem.. this is a very low priority task. For the initial power at low assistance I guess I can tackle the issue using the boost function (which I did not use so far), set for instance to 2.0 at assistance 1 (0.1) and 1.0 to th...

Here is the updated wiki: https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2_wiki/wiki/Features-and-configurations-for-version-0.19.X Buba, since the street-offroad is now inverted, I guess there is a typo in the new wiki. Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Hi Zappan, It is the standard axel on the motor for the 68-73mm bb. It snapped off at the base of the chainring. I was just wondering if it was replaceable or a new motor needed. I haven't had a chance to take the motor off the bike yet to see. I just threw my pedal and crank arm into my locker :) ...

Ok casainho, I understand your concerns with the walk assist. Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Buba, I guess we spoke about this some time ago, but I do not remember the conclusion. Regarding the walk assist, it is beneficial to have a sort of "lock" of the walk assist in order not to require the DOWN button to be pushed constantly. In fact it is hard not to slip off with the finger on a stee...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Did you maybe disconnect the torque sensor?
There are 2 wires red-black coming from the drive side to be connected with a small white connector. In my case one was broken (not properly soldered to the torque sensor) since the beginning and the motor did not kick in.. walk assist worked.
