Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Really thanks for the hard work buba. Look great the improvements you mentioned in this new beta, looking forward to try it out. In case we need more space in the LCD3 (I guess it's the most used display for this firmware) have you considered to remove some functions? Hard to scrap some work done.. ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hello! Can anyone provide our motor's bearing codes? I know there are few types on it.. in the main axle, on the blue gear axle, the sprag clutches.. Useful to be prepared in case of replacement  Many thanks. I want to put this info on the wiki, I will when someone share this. I was asking th...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I put it under the FAQ: https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2_wiki/wiki/FAQ#Bearings_codes So, on that picture we can see 1 wire of the torque sensor broken... probably you had torque sensor wires connected while disassembling, right? No, when I installed the second new motor it wasn't...

Hi Marcoq, why should it not work? I believe that the SW of the TSDZ2 is the same I think they have only adapted the connections ... of course the keys to configure the options may not match, Wpenner since you have the opportunity to test why you do not install it and so we check how it was done fo...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

You only need 3 wires from the USB programmer. Just pull the metal connectors out of the plastic housing on the programmer and put some shrink tube around them. Then you will be able to fit the three wires into the correct pins on the speed sensor connector. If you use 4 wires as some diagrams show...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I am very happy that you like the idea, but I was thinking, and I believe that if it is not too much trouble, and there is enough memory space, the ideal would be to have two parameters that can be changed by the user: 1- User calibration weight available with an approximation of 0.1 or 0.5 kg (thi...

Iterative process to tune the values (correct me if I misunderstood the above messages) makes the operation even more annoying. I had to disassemble twice due to a factory f...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

PS: there is one difference to what you described. When there is no magnet nearby there is electrical continuity. My mistake in explaination, sorry. I corrected the text above. You have to keep the brake logic in mind: when the gnd-brake circuit is open (no continuity) the motor works, when you sho...
