Re: 8m HTD pulley Drawing help

As a sweetener, I have some laser cut torque plates that I can send to whoever helps me out. They are cut from 6mm steel and there is two sizes, 12mm and 14mm axle with 10mm flats. Happy to send either or, or both sizes, whatever you wish. How about two of each size? Cheers. http://i50.photobucket.c...

8m HTD pulley Drawing help

I'm in the process of building a mid drive off road bike using a single stage HTD belt. To get the required reduction I need a 14 tooth drive pulley. I can't find a 14 tooth 8M HTD pulley to buy so I have been trying to draw the profile on DeltaCad so I can get one laser cut. However I have discover...

Re: Best motor type for cargo bike?

I wouldn't buy a three wheel cargo bike. They are unstable at speed and they constantly lean over with the camber of the road. I have done over 3000km with my two children in my two wheel cargo bike and I love it. I use a 12 turn Mac at about 1300 watts, plenty of power and hill climbing ability. He...

Hi Greg,
I was reading this thread thinking about posting up what I did for your bike and bingo there it was.
I have done this for two bikes with frame triangle bags in Western Australia (hot weather), works well.

Does anybody have some miles on a 1000W Bafang mid drive?
Paul, Cell Man has an excellent deal on them ATM and I was wondering what people think about these kits in general?

Ok, 3 years on from finishing this cargo bike.
It has been awesome, no problems, and done about 2500km.
The family including the dog love it! I thought I would share a photo of my girls being picked up from school.

Re: KiwiEVs next project fast EV

EV West has already done a twin 11" warp seat up with great results. Yep, I have come across this car, some nice work. However it's an E36 not the true classic E46 which is regarded by many to be the best M3 so far. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f331/e21340i/E46%20M3.jpg I haven't found an E46 ...

Re: KiwiEVs next project fast EV

Hey Kiwi,
My pick would be an BMW E46 M3, beautiful looking, amazing handling, a true classic and some very cheap ones around.
I used to own one until I got a 7 seater for the family, the E46 was the best car I've ever owned.
I dream about getting another and converting it to an EV.
Cheers,
Matt

I finally finished the side cover molds and the actual carbon fiber covers. The covers have been trial fitted to the frame and all the wiring has been done. The frame went to the powder coaters today, so final assembly is not too far away. Molds, waxed and coated with release agent and gel coat. htt...

Re: Which tyres to replace my hookworm 24 x 2.5's?

I also love the 24" hookworms, did about 8000km on mine and then was sad they stopped making them. However just a few months back my local shop was able to get some more, the shop owner believes Maxxis have done a new run of them. He said a bike manufacturer may have put a large order in for them so...

Re: Basman style cruiser with Mac and A123 20ah

Time for a bit of an update. I'm still working on the tank covers but have done a few other small jobs on the bike. I found a bling kickstand on ebay that was the perfect length, only 180mm which suits the low rear chain stays. The blue anodising was a good match for this bike but it was bejeweled w...
