Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
I don’t know what’s the threshold in the EU. In Switzerland, shipments worth less than 62CHF don’t incur taxes. 21% VAT is paid if the price is higher than 22 EUR and if it is higher than 150 EUR duty fees are paid also. Em3ev has nice chargers, they send overseas, and they’ll put whatever value yo...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
KT-LCD3 upgrade? I am confused on what I need to upgrade from a KT-LCD3 to 850C. First does anyone know the difference between P850C and the 850C? Can you "see the 850C in the sun? Next do I have to add the SW102 Bluetooth? I can't see my phone in the sun and I don't plan on using it with the ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
I believe this is one of the many downsides of the stock firmware. It’s very particular about max voltages. I think it is combination of two things. Low margin in HVC constant in FW and big tolerance in component (resistor) values. This combination causes this problem on some units, when other unit...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)
Could the firmware make use of the light sensor and automatically adjust the screen’s brightness? And/or toggle the lights on and off like in the stock firmware?

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
Hi, I have a 48V/500W motor (stock firmware) with 48V/13.5 Ah battery installed on my Trek Roscoe 6. I´m very happy with the bike at general, but i have one small issue with the motor. The issue is that the motor refuses to work with fully charged battery (54,2V), but when I discharge the battery d...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
How do you put all your weight only on one pedal while keeping the crank arms horizontal and not falling? Lean bike against wall, hold brake and stand on pedal. Now, imagine trying to do that on a recumbent trike! I'm thinking that for the trike situation, pedals vertical would be most a...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
Is it still relevant to calibrate the cadence sensor using this method: https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-fir ... nce-Sensor ?
Using the 850C display, I don't see any mention about it on the wiki page detailing configuration options.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
About the torque sensor calibration. I’d like to rewrite the wiki page with more detailed instructions, but I don’t understand the process as it is described. So what do I have to do to calibrate my torque sensor without any specialized equipment? I stand on the pedals and do... what? Yes, and also...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
Where can I find a very very short adaptor cable or connector to go from the TSDZ2 motor 8 pin connector to the 850C connector? The ECO cycle kit came with everything of coarse but I would like to mount the display right next to the motor (recumbent trike). A 6 inch cable or less would be great. I ...

Yea it won't work without the groundpin connected, I overlooked that at first as well, when I flashed mine So GND in the usb is connected both to the power booster minus and to the black wire in the connector? YES Yeah, I totally missed that one after using an external power supply... and didn’t re...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)
I really can't figure out how to build the flashing cable. I have bought a display cable extension, I cut it in half, and I'm using that from the USB-TTL to the display. I have tried supplying the 30V on the purple cable, or on the orange cable. In any case, the display lights up when long pressing ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
Quick question: I need to discharge my battery a little for storage. If I run the motor full throttle, the battery reports 500W draw (bike spinning in the air, on a stand) How long can I run it continuously at 480–500W before it heats past the point where it demagnetizes? With the stock firmware and...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)
Alright so it was a bit of a PEBKAC issue. I had switched the + and - wires at the exit of the voltage booster... my pinout (at least GND and battery voltage) are as on the photo on the previous page. The display now turns on powered from a wall adapter rather than the battery so I have the right pi...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)
My assumption was that since the motor and the display work together, they’re both wired to be compatible. And if I map the pin that carries battery voltage and ground on the motor side, then I know how to wire my home made flashing device to be the same. Then it’s a matter of finding TXD or RXD bi ...

ah yes I see the display is a bit more involved....but this is another example of why windows is sh!te ie that apt burn program   it insists on selecting a 'com port'....a com port is a serial port.....I haven't used one of those for about 10 years  I want to use a 'USB port'...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
So I want to check the pinout of my motor/controller to determine how to hook up the display for flashing. I was planning on setting the meter to 20V DC, and hooking up the black probe to an arbitrary pin. Then move the red probe to every other pin in succession to find the one that carries the batt...

Hi Linux fan here cos windows sucks  so I'll try and give a little feedback... Why are you using a file from 'eco-bike' website? The latest open source firmware is here methinks: https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2-Smart-EBike/releases/tag/v0.20.0-beta.1 The file you use is an a...

Need help converting stock TSDZ2 from 48V to 52V
I have a tsdz2 running the stock firmware along with a 850c display. I can’t successfully flash the display to the open source firmware yet but I do need to use my bicycle until I figure it out. I charged my 52V battery close to full, and now the voltage is too high for a 48V battery and the 48V mot...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
The voltage regulator is working, yes. I think the wiring to the plug is different in my motor and display compared to the colors in the extension cable I bought (separately) Iirc, GND was on the pin left of the notch (when the notch is up), and +30V was on the pin on the right of the notch. When I ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)
Could you link to the booster you chose? It’s the one from aliexpress, check the open source firmware wiki on GitHub, on the page about flashing the 850c. The booster is only when flashing the display with the cable. When it’s under normal operation, the battery supplies the voltage and you don’t n...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
Thanks. I didn't cut the connector off my display because it came with the right plug and I have an extension cord that I cut in the middle to re-use the connector. I could never have the display turn on, even with only the 30V and the GND connected. My understanding is that if this is done right, t...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
Hi, I received a 850c from pswpower and am trying to flash it. I noticed it doesnt fit into my 4-1 cable because it came with a female end so i attempted to put on a new male connector (luckily had a spare). Cut it up and see that the colors are off and the pin positions dont match with what tsdz2 ...
