Coker Cycles sells their bikes on-line.
The wheels have 48 spokes.
But, there exists uber skookum 36" 36H rims and tires for the unicycle crowd.

Re: Car Door vs Ebike

IMO Wrong she/he should have been driving CLOSER. If a car door opens you do not want to get the pointy end of the door you want to steer into the human that is opening the door. It's a much SOFTER stop and the injuries go to the person too self absorbed to look into a damn mirror. A local cyclist ...

Re: Group Rides are Fun !

I've been on lots of group social rides with e bikers, freak bikers and assorted mass citizenry. For a social ride in the city, groups up to about eight well matched riders works okay. Larger groups tend to get strung out and split. Some people end up waiting for others to rejoin the group before th...

Re: 36"er eBike Build

Radial laced spokes on a 36er seems like a bad idea  Finding spokes long enough to pull off a 1-cross lacing of a standard bike hub into a rim with ~775mm ERD will prolly be difficult/expensive/impossible. I almost feel obligated to use the largest diameter hub motors I can get my hands on...

I just started Mozilla Firefox 5.1 to respond to your question - in a new tab even.

The kind that don't go flat and best suit your intended use. The width of your tires is somewhat interdependent on rim width, frame, brake caliper and fender clearance. Many people prefer tires incorporating a belt of Kevlar that adds some protection against punctures. I like the Schwalbe Big Apple ...

Re: Has anyone laced a 5304 to an Alex Supra BH 26" 36h DH R

Le Béte just got a new front wheel with the DM 24 laced to a Sturmey Archer 90 mm drum brake. I demanded a silver finish, eyeleted, double wall rim to fit the Big Apple 2.3'' tire. The wheel builder got me the Alex. When it comes time to re build the 5304 I'll get another one to match. Alex says the...

Big tour for the Ilse of Man, again. Cav's heading for the all time stage wins record. Poor Tyler just gonna have to wait till Cav breaks a collarbone some year. Re: General Spoke Choice?

The spokes on my 9C are the ones ebikes.ca was selling before the 13 ga. Sapim spokes. They're the Wheelsmith DH13. A single butted spoke that is 13 ga. at the head and through the elbow then becomes 14 ga. for the length of the spoke. I don't think the makers of thread rollers readily supply 13 ga....

Re: Bicycles beat Jet Blue!

The public might say "well we aren't all road racing cyclists, we can't ride that fast". Well, if they have a nice ebike, they easily could go the road cyclist average of 23mph. The biyclists arrived an hour before the plane even departed. They didn't have to race any where. What's sickening about ...

I can understand the frustration when, through no fault of your own, everything seems to go wrong. So, by the en...

A helmet mounted mirror is the only type I've ever seen that doesn't jiggle. You can scan a wider field just by moving your head. IMO, mirrors provide no actionable information so are a distraction. Near misses and collisions are mostly happening in front of you. Lies, lies, lies! I like mirrors be...

Justin at ebikes.ca has listed some 144 spoke hole hubs as an experiment. They're the geared E-Zee motors in two versions. One for 26" (standard) or the 20" (fast) wheels. Analyse your weight distribution before deciding you must have 48 spokes. Thirty six 13 ga. spokes are short with a hub motor so...
