Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I have managed to flash the firmware and update and all is working well but I have a few questions regarding the modes. I have been using the below from ashrambo as a guide. VLCD5 and VLCD6 SCREENS functions : DEFAULT PARAMETERS -> E02 (Level 0) STREET MODE ENABLED -> E03 (Level 1) OFFROAD MODE ENAB...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I've been following this and reading for a while and not sure which way to go when l update. Is the KT LCD3 still viable as a display if not do l go for 850c or SW102 or stick with the VLCD5 with the marcoq version. I don't want to buy a display and find that it gets bricked when flashing it or hav...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Just a warning. Twice now I've had my bike continuously accelerate after i stopped peddling. I believe this to be a software glitch, as bike worked fine once power cycled. I do not have ebrakes installed. They might have helped me stop the bike instead of having to stall the motor with my brakes wh...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

[/quote] Just to warn you I’m fairly sure the amp setting on the lcd does not change how much power the motor is using. Open software let’s you ride at a higher RPM in a lower gear. Also has softer startup that will save the internal blue gear. You also will not accidentally trigger the motor at sto...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Motor and battery have arrived and been fitted which took a lot longer than l anticipated as l had to do a bit of grinding to the rear mount and the plate to get it to fit properly. It was too close to the upright tube to get a bolt in at first. Quite happy with the way it goes and seem to be able t...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

New to ebikes and this forum so not sure if this is the right place for this but hopefully someone will point me in the right direction. I have purchased the TSDZ2 750w 52V motor from Ebird / Aliexpress and 52V 12.8ah from UPP which are in transit. I was hoping to achieve a cruising speed on the roa...

Help converting Dillinger Bike from 36v to 48v

Im fairly new to e-bikes and wanted some help converting my Dillinger Easy Stepover to 48v. From what I have read I am best to update the controller to 48v and think motor should be okay ? I can buy a 48v battery with 15a output that fits the frame so that bit is easy. The controller is stuffed in t...
