Re: UPDATED 10/31/14- NEW HPC REVOLUTION DH E-BIKE!

Interesting, I'll be keen to see the base frame pricing. So what's the final weight on the frame and swing arm ? Did you heat treat the frames or are you using thicker Al sheet to compensate ? Right now, frame is around 6.3Kg including body and swingarm. We are having our engineers go through the m...

Re: UPDATE 6/6/14- NEW HPC REVOLUTION DH E-BIKE!

I don't think they are that similar at all. We actually went back to design number 1 and made the rectangular box larger to fit a larger battery pack. Notice the swingarm and rear shock angles. Also, we offer real carbon fiber instead of a sticker on an aluminum plate like the bomber. The Revolution...

Re: Hi-power cycles Anyone have experience with them

Nathan, Just looked over a bunch of emails and talked to guys in the back and I think I found you. Regarding the new 17.4Ah pack. This is our first pack to use 18650 cells (versus prismatic pouch cells for the rest) and we don't skimp. We use Panasonic 2900PF cells which are relatively new and widel...

Re: UPDATE 6/6/14- NEW HPC REVOLUTION DH E-BIKE!

Sorry it took so long, but here is the official launch video! http://youtu.be/OVs1QWURs-Y Production should be green lighted in about 7-10 days. After the green light, figure 5 weeks for machining and welding the frames. This frame uses no off the shelf parts and head tube, swingarm parts, bottom br...

Re: Any updates on the HPC revolution?

Check it out! Our official launch video of the Revolution. http://youtu.be/OVs1QWURs-Y Right now, our plan is to green light production in the next 7-10 days. Final minor adjustments... After it is green lighted, we should have the frames in house within 5 weeks or so. We will offer frame ONLY, and ...

Re: Hi-power cycles Anyone have experience with them

I have a couple battery packs..72 volt and another pair or high amp 48 volt and they are great. Also got a 3500 watt Crystalyte motor and wheel from them. i bought through local bike shop cause I wanna support them. Good stuff. I have called them a few times and tend to agree a little with previous...

Re: Hi-power cycles Anyone have experience with them

ATTENTION: HPC is terrible; do not buy from them. DO NOT BUY FROM HPC I recently bought the hardtail bike from HPC. They would not listen to me when I requested they make my tires tubeless; instead they said they would put triple-thick tubes and kevlar liners in there. They did not put the kevlar l...

Re: Any updates on the HPC revolution?

Yes, We got the latest batch of Mid drives with new gears (5th sample now). The latest has a 2 stage gearbox- 1st stage polymer (to keep quieter at higher output rpm), 2nd stage steel for strength. This motor is capable of 3000W continuous, but we will launch as a 2Kw package at first. Motor and gea...

Re: Any updates on the HPC revolution?

Hi Guys, not ready for launch just yet... handing the bike over to some local pro riders so they can have at it. This should be the final testing phase. Assuming all goes well, production will be completed with the first run 5 weeks after we give them the go ahead. We will have some really trick loo...

Re: HPC Bafang 1100W vs EM3EV bafang 750W

Neptronix, Obviously there is no convincing you otherwise. The fact is we do sell a 26A controller instead of the 25A version that most vendors sell. We are arguing over a measly 50-60 watts. There are several manufactures that state INPUT power, while most other state an arbitrary watt figure to be...

Re: HPC Bafang 1100W vs EM3EV bafang 750W

Neptronix-
You are very well entitled to your own opinion, and we respect that.

However, We deal with empirical facts backed by hours of data on our Dynamometer. We test these systems day in and day out and have compiled hundreds of data charts of different systems across many e-bike platforms.

Re: HPC Bafang 1100W vs EM3EV bafang 750W

Russell, I am in the shop right now actually fine tuning the Kevlar belt on one of our warp drives. Right now I am running 4000W, but then again I am trying to break things to see which parts fail first. I do have an old thread, but I am not going to revive them until the drives are ready for prime ...

Re: HPC Bafang 1100W vs EM3EV bafang 750W

Spinningmagnets- You are correct, the chainline is thrown even farther off with an adapter. However, with the proper narrow-wide tooth profile, the chain literally holds much better than stock and is quieter as well (this part came as a welcome surprise to us). We have had the stock 46T chain fall o...

Re: HPC Bafang 1100W vs EM3EV bafang 750W

Jesset33: Our motor/controller combo has a 26A output. Other vendors have 25A. You can check the bottom of the motor to verify which one you have. All of the standard 25A versions on our Dynojet Dynamometer on average 1170-1190W at the rear wheels as long as you have a low impedance 14S pack. 18650 ...

Re: HPC Bafang 1100W vs EM3EV bafang 750W

Hi, Sorry I'm late to the party. Basically we have a similar product to em3ev. We program each unit to be EU legal in PAS1 with 250w and 15mph max, 500W in PAS2, 750W and 20mph in PAS3 for US legal. We can do up to 9 speeds. Also, we have revised shift points on PAS to smooth out transitions when yo...

UPDATE! Finally! We have gone through 3 different suppliers... our main welding shop closed shop after 35 years in business and caught us by surprise to say the least! A couple of changes some people will be excited about: 1) The battery compartment has been updated and can now fit a MONSTER 90V 26A...

Re: NEW Dyno at HPC! Come and test your bikes!

A Dc amp clamp around the negative pack lead would be more accurate and require no extra work, using the CA data its accuracy would be dependant on the correct shunt value being set in the CA. Also the clamp would allow the data to be recorded from bikes without a CA. Your Dyno could then show if t...

Re: NEW Dyno at HPC! Come and test your bikes!

I have never used the data log on the CA... Is there a way to output current #'s at .5 mph increments? I would need to export the data to excel. I would like to use a calibrated shunt CA for each bike... For mid drives, so far we just have been doing the long route of testing each gear with a 1x dri...

Re: NEW Dyno at HPC! Come and test your bikes!

Zombiess,
I think you are only about 40 minutes away! I think we should do a dyno run- CROWN vs HUBZILLA

Maybe we can use the same controller and battery system on both. We also have some special run higher efficiency HPC'd Crown motors for ultra high voltage that we could test! Should be fun.

HA. As soon as I saw liveforphysics post, my mind swirled with thoughts of him bringing a 50,000W monster breaking our precious new dyno to shreds! But its all good, I think it will be up to the task. Physical limitations of the dyno itself are about 45,000W and 110 mph for the roller. Dyno is locat...

Regarding the Bomber- It has the 5400 series C-lyte motor Regarding the XC-2 5000W. Finalized output is not complete as we were testing different settings for the upcoming revolution. The latest dyno chart for our bike using a heavily modified/air cooled H40 type motor was 6.1hp and 117.3 ft-lbs out...
