Re: E Bike Kit with torque sensor like Yamaha Bosch etc

Thanks a lot for sharing all that info, DogDipstick. Its nice to see there are other options than tsdz2 if you want homebuilt and torque sensing. Not that there is anything wrong with the tsdz2, other than some fitment issues on modern full suspension bikes.

Re: E Bike Kit with torque sensor like Yamaha Bosch etc

Thanks a lot for a very informative answer! I will have to read it a couple more times when I have the time :D

Kind of makes me want to buy a CA and a torque sensor anyway, to try it out. What kind of setup do you have? And do you think this system is responsive for technical single trail riding?

Re: E Bike Kit with torque sensor like Yamaha Bosch etc

Hope I am not thread-jacking, but I think it is quite related; Does the BB torque-sensors even work with the forces that a typical diy mid-drive system is set up (dual freewheel with an extra chain from front chainring to the motor)? If I understand correctly, the Sempu unit measures the flex in the...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Sure, you just need some eccentric adapters for installation... FYI there are 92mm extensions available for this, you don't have to get a 100mm extension... The 100mm may negatively affect your chainline, and give you a wider than necessary q factor in fact... I see, eccentric adapters makes sense!...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi guys Sorry if this has been asked before, I havent read through the whole thread yet  I wonder if anyone has installed the tsdz2 in a more "modern" style pressfit BB? Like a shimano PF 92? If I order a fatbike 100mm version and use adapters and 8mm spacers, would that work? Or is...

Re: Adjusting voltage on charger

Alright, thanks for the input. I'll just keep using it as is, then. I have set the BMS to start balancing from 3.8V, but these cells are so well balanced from factory (they all come from the same low mileage phev battery pack) that I have never seen BMS doing any balancing at all. Hopefully they kee...

Adjusting voltage on charger

Hi I have a YZPower 10A 20S charger Im using to charge a 20S battery made up from LEV40 cells. I want to cut charging at 4.1V per cell, so about 82V. I opened it up, and found 4 different pots. I found instructions somewhere on the web for which one I should adjust, but I can not get it lower than 8...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

They recomended a 12F on a 3kw motor, so I put in a preorder for that. I do think I would have made a 6f work for the current build Im planning, but I know myself, so buying a 12f is probably a good idea anyway... 😬

Re: Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

So I think I have an idea of what the most if the settings does now, except from "Start setting adjustment (for tricycle gear box only)". The manual doesnt say much about it either. It is four settings, but what do they do? What is a tricycle gear box? What do you run if you dont have a tr...

Well, do I feel stupid now   Ticking off the CAN option in the new software was all I needed. Motor spins and BMS is working bow. Just need to figure out hkw to wire the display now, and I can rip the ATV in pieces and start the conversion, and enjoy the power limitations you have been ta...

Re: Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

I got a few more minutes to look at it, and its quite weird.... I had turned off the BMS, and when I turned it on again I first tried the throttle without connectiong the laptop. And the motor turned! Plugged in the laptop, connected the program, and bam, zero volts and undervoltage protection. Trie...

Re: Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

Hi guys. Just got my 72150S controller and 3000w motor. Wnt to hook it up and it was just the same with mine, had to disable the park. However, I have another problem... The controller showing 0V, and of course undervoltage protection is active, so nothing works. I have connected the B+, B-, throttl...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

Is there any way to disable/enable throttle inputs in the different speed modes? I dont have the controller yet, so sorry if it is already implemented. I'm thinking it could be useful to have a "road legal" mode (low wattage, PAS input only, since throttle handle is illegal in many countri...

Ok, so to be able to pedal, motor rpm must be ~40-45% max.

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

So I just ordered a 1800-3000w kit for a fatbike build, it will probably run it with a nucular 6f controller. I have tried searching, and sorry if it has been asked before, but I can not find info about what kind of voltage I should chose if I still want to use the pedals. Cyclone site states rated ...

Thank you for a well written answer! I will also have a Anderson 175 between the battery and main fuse for a last line o...
