Re: Manufacturers to avoid

Ok, I think we understand the Golden Motor level of customer satisfaction, so lets hear about other vendor experiences. Now, I have only dealt with my local bike shop, which has made it extremely easy when I broke the axle on my Wilderness Energy hub. Its better to deal with a person face to face if...

Re: WE BL-36 Dead on arrivals

I had the same thing happen to my BL-36. I went for the maiden voyage, had a giant E grin going down this hill with all the extra momentum (i.e. LEAD), and turned around at the bottom to go back up and nothing. So I pedaled the behemoth back home, looked it over and found out I had a loose ba...

Re: Orange County Cook's Corner Ride Report

I used to drive by there once a month on one of my sunglass routes, always loved that tree lined road going up to the general store. Let me know if you guys go out sometime, cuz with more people it will be safer for everybody. I have a feeling there are a lot of us in So Cal, being the perfect clima...

Re: Motobecan 08 Fantom or 09 700DS, cyclone 650watts and A123

You cant beat the price of those Motobecanes, I just picked one up for cheap!! Im doing a front hub wilderness energy (shoulda done more research) set up with sla. Since you do cnc, I would make my own rack and seatpost triangulated and notched in the frame so that the rack doesn't slide side to sid...

Re: RC battery!! Is This Battery Applicable??

Thanks for the input, I was wondering how I would go about wiring in another "booster pack". Does it have to be of the same battery type? I have 36v sla and am running the WE kit stock, I need more power, and just a mile or two more range. Is there a thread on the booster pack with switch wiring? Ca...

RC battery!! Is This Battery Applicable??

Found this battery on Hobbyking after looking at the RC Motor build by scottclarke, and thought 2 of these might do well for a similar build. This battery is rated at 22.2 volts and 3700mah at 20C for under $100!! That sounds cheap. Are Li-Po batteries considered unsafe? My main reason for using the...

Re: Scotts 5th - uh 6th build! now with a video - sorta!

Finally, it was VERY VERY fast - I would get into all sorts of trouble acceling that fast. That was not the intent - a commuter is what I want - one that is capable of 40mph with a car matching accel profile. It does all that on 24V - the pipedream is over! You have found the pot-o-gold!! congrats!!...
