Hi, Connection diagram is given on product page: https://www.energusps.com/shop/product/tiny-bms-s516-150a-750a-36 https://www.energusps.com/website/image/ir.attachment/1255_8df8281/datas Basically you bypass the board and use it only for measurements and contactor control. Re: ULtra Compact 1800W charger

You can't go below certain level, like 30V or so (can't remember exact value). Below that, it will not work as expected, or will simply switch off. This is why load sharing must be implemented. That can be done by coordinating voltages of all chargers, making sure one of then can work in CC mode in ...

It can do 3C peak. Enough for acceleration.
I have tested them 2C long-term. Held just fine. Here are some tests I did:

I want to thank you guys f...

LG D1 3.0Ah 18650 cells [mint]

The cells have around 10 partial cycles on them, so basically new in that regard. They are removed from my bike's build, discussed here: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=69638 Stored at 50% SOC at 20°C. Tested a few for capacity and Ri - as new. Note these are real genuine cells...

Re: My ebike and 3.4kWh 18650 battery

That was a nice fit inside the frame. Did you rebuild the bike to mid drive? Yes, I have decided to go with mid drive and rv-160 short. My initial plan was to mod the Vector frame, since it is quite easy with this frame. However I did need a new swingarm and a mod on frame. Then I decided I need fe...

Re: ULtra Compact 1800W charger

Yes, BMS controls the flatpack. Now on final stages of firmware. The UART-CAN converter is a nice project on it's own, completely isolated, powered only from one side, also sub-100μA power consumption in standby mode (while still listening to CAN bus). So it can be used as a generic converter, not j...

Re: My ebike and 3.4kWh 18650 battery

These cells are not of "power" type, with Ri ~ 70mΩ. Interconnections and fusing is around 1mΩ... So does not add too much to RI drop. Unfortunately I have no feedback to report. The range was huge, as expected. I charged it once a week... I used the bike for couple of months, but decided I don't li...

Re: ULtra Compact 1800W charger

Thanks Remmie, that is very interesting information.

Have you figured out a way for charger to switch off or disable the output when timed out (CAN comm lost)? That looks quite important to avoid accidents. Or course you can set default voltage very low, but still not a very elegant solution.

It is a "test" winding, I used 2.5mm² electrical cable.
It took around 1.5 hours.

Controller under test - Vedder's VESC.

I just made a 1.5T test winding on mxus v1. Does 1200rpm at 53V. Takes around 90 watts no-load.
