Re: 72v 1500W 40A Hua Tong CA08 XM06AD_P04.1 controller

No, as I stated it isn't the hall/phase configuration, It is very easy to tell if thats the problem. It seems rough only at a couple points in the throttle, but its a pain because one of those is starting from a standing stop, I don't really notice unless I'm starting uphill, or am at 3/4 throttle, ...

Re: 72v 1500W 40A Hua Tong CA08 XM06AD_P04.1 controller

A question to the owners of the Hua Tong, any model. Does your standing start seem rough to you? I've got a new one (with singe plastic seal for wires and no board number at all, bought from marcmart) which seems too rough (proper hall/phase config), and sometimes at certain throttle points does the...

Re: 72v 1500W 40A Hua Tong Generic controller connections

Ya I asked them too, and for confirmation that it has regen braking, hopefully I'll hear back from them soon. That is what I am hoping for because the case looks the same and there really aren't too many 72v controllers available (other that modified lower voltage controllers). If it is the same boa...

Re: 72v 1500W 40A Hua Tong Generic controller connections

Fair enough, seems to make sense, I just wish that the rest of it followed some sort of logical pattern. That would be great, I attempted to do the same but gave up even trying to find the manufacturer. If you can get some information out of them it would be very helpful, because I would bet quite a...

Re: 72v 1500W 40A Hua Tong Generic controller connections

This is very bizarre, I am sorry to report that I am indeed wrong, X is wheel lock . The weird part is that some regen takes place before the wheel is locked, that's what gave me that false positive while on the stand. I hooked up an ammeter between the power and batter as previously stated, and too...

Re: 72v 1500W 40A Hua Tong Generic controller connections

Yes, Reverse (L) gets connected to ground for reverse, which is of course only at partial speed. There has been much talking about Regen and how the newer version controller seems to lack it (apparently 'X' is wheel lock), so I never attempted. Today I was riding along at ~65km/h (delta mode) down a...

Re: 72v 1500W 40A Hua Tong Generic controller connections

Darn it, I bought this controller thinking it had regen, but I guess I bought it past the cutoff. I use one of those stupid scooters wired at 72v(48v original) with delta/wye, so regen is really important to me as the damn thing holds a lot of power in its momentum with its excessive weight, and use...
