After ! Alot more has changed since. I've added a handlebar High/Low switch to go between 406/409, with a 3PDT relay and a single speed 20 amp 72v controller.. ( soon to be bumped up to 30 amps ! ) I have broken the battery pack down ( to replace a reversed cell ) and am frame mounting one of the 36...

It might be that hub motors are mostly a matter of lower maintenance and not really a "performance" feature... I think you are correct about this.. However, personally, i think Hub motors can be made to perform quite well if used in proper combinations. I bet i can swap a hub motor in a f...

I think the way to go ( And i will be getting a few on my next order) .. is an X5 in a rim.. no spokes.. picture a rim instead of a spoke flange and a tire that mounts directly to it. Crystalyte does do this ! An X5302 in this small a diameter wheel, would have a fair amount of torque, at 48v 40amps...

Biggest issue is " Communication ! ".

Dealing with china can be stressful, if something gets mis-understood. shipping stuff back and forth is not really an option.

If you plan to spend big $$$.. ask for a sample beforehand.

Are you able to measure voltage sag under load on your bike ?

How fast do you really need to go ?.. wowzers.. a 5304 in a 26" wheel at 90v operating voltage should be going something insane like 60 + mph !!!..... If you really want to break the sound barrier.. just get a different motor.. a 5302 at 72v in a 24" wheel.. 40 + amps would be quite the ge...

Same here.. i got 2 of them.. one speedo/meter.. and the other Backlit version.. Great tool !.. If anyone wants to go 72v on the Backlit version, you must relpace a resistor in the meter in order not to pop the light in the back-lit display. I don't think Justin gets his 8 hrs of sleep ! lol.. he's ...

I'm working on yet another project ( yeah.. it never ends.. huh.. ) and i need to know what bike frames everyone is using . All the crystalyte throttles work on the same principle.. only difference is the LED or Non-LED types.. The LED throttles can only be used at 36 or 48v.. and have a potential of shorting out in the wet.. the +5v for the throttle and the circuit board lead are very close to each other and when wet &q...

I"m also a fan of the Anderson PP's.. I have equipped just about everything in my garage and computer room with andersons.. - No exposed terminals... the metal is all inside the plastic housing, less chances of shorts from exposed terminals. - No Male/Female problems when swaping things around....
