If it's a second gen metro you will lose battery meter on the display. Plus maximum voltage for the stock controller is 50v. Any higher the throttle goes unresponsive. I tried that, the green from the motor had constant voltage. So I swapped it for the extra white wire which I thought was for speed. No more vibration!!
