Re: Homemade (Swiss) E-Bike

Welcome to the forum. Thats a good looking bike. I believe the answer is No, but without opening the motor up to look at the circuit componants, its impossable to say. The Spark is a 12 volt system powering two 100 watt motors in a single case. Pushing 24 volts into the electronics would likely fry...

Re: What is the best shipping method US to Australia?

I ship quite a bit to Australia. My customers tell me that it takes about 2 weeks no matter if Priority or 1st class international airmail package is used. I can't remember anyone telling me it took more than 3 weeks. You can look up what it would cost using USPS.com It sounds like what you are shi...

Re: Busted A2B metro diagnosis help

With no power lights it could be a battery or controller issue. Unfortunately there are a only few things you can do to verify this as the controller is located inside the motor. Do you have a any type of DC volt meter? If so, pull apart the larger plug that runs under the left side of the swing arm...

AUS - Ebike Motor Import Code Needed

Any Aussies who have imported a motor(s) care to share what the Import Code for Ebike Motors? I called customs and they suggested chapter 85 or 87 and after reading through the codes I'm assuming it will fall under chapter 87 but I did not notice electric bike motors specifically listed. So, if you ...

Re: Amped Bike Kit Grinding Noise

Do you have a disc brake? If so, back out each of the disc mounting screws a few turns to see if it's still rubbing. Other wise it is a warranty issue.

Re: High torque set up needed

Welcome Matt, Wow, 270kg - that's a lot. I think it would be a good idea to go with a geared motor vs a direct drive. Regen actually does very little in the way of recapturing energy, only real benefit would be the additional braking you get will when engaging the regen. If you go with a geared moto...

Re: Pro's/Con's of Ampedbikes.com kits

The reason I asked is I already owned a geared motor from E-BikeKit and it was a pretty slow wind. I really liked the motor and used it for something like 3,000 miles but it only spun unloaded at 335 RPM at 51.0V (236 RPM @ 36V nominal) meaning it was fairly slow (22.5 mph) even with 700Cx50mm tire...
