Re: KTM 200 exc goes electric

Im not sure that the 8800 measurement is good, I didnt try to hold that rpm. I just saw that it was the max it hit in the log.
But I think the 16,7A at 8200rpm should be good.

It didnt sound very good at high rpm, I think the timing missed or something.

Re: KTM 200 exc goes electric

It seems like the main reason for all the dirt and water in the connection box is not the seal that was not perfectly in place, but the seal around the phase wires: https://i.imgur.com/XFnEfcl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/XS6ehJN.jpg I thought it was a little strange that I got that much dirt in there wi...

Re: Evaluate my build plan, fine forum members?

I have a relatively cheap build with a cheap hub motor from a 1000w kit, a kt 1500w controller and a 13s5p battery of sanyo NCR18650GA in a halong case. I have a bad front suspension fork and stiff rear, disc brakes. Fully charged it will go about 50kph, around nominal about 45kph and about 40kph be...

If you contact QS, maybe ask if they doing the same drive cover on the 4kw yet.
From what I seen on their facebook page it is planned, but not more than that yet.
But ask, if nothing else maybe it at least leads to them understanding that there is a demand for it :)

When you look at ant bms you could just go with this one instead:

Hub sinks offer a significant path for conduction.
Sure, but first you have to get the heat to the hubsinks.

Re: statorade vs statorade w/hubsinks

After abusing my hub motor until it was too hot to touch, I started looking at whether I should add a little more Statorade. Per the recommendation, I originally added 8ml of the 10ml syringe. The recommendation also says up to 8ml for modest RPMs, and up to 12ml for higher RPMs, but that too much ...

Re: KTM 200 exc goes electric

I dont think it is that much of a problem on a street bike.
This one has been driven in mud and been high pressure washed about once a week for a year.

Re: KTM 200 exc goes electric

At today's ride it was clear that more work was needed. I had very noticeable bearing noise from the motor.. https://i.imgur.com/VNiwy3b.jpg I took the pcb off, but left the plastic holder untouched to not mess up the timing. Notice the washer under the screw in the middle, I think it is meant to be...

Re: ME1616 motor with sevcon gen4 size 6 80V low power??

Arlo1 on the forum seems to get very good results with sevcons and zero motors, maybe you can get a dcf file from him and compare? I dont remember the outputs, but I think it was higher. But maybe just because of higher voltage? There should be some videos of dyno runs somewhere. Edit, here is a thr...

Okay, I misunderstood and thought Nuxland had been able to help you with that already :) Very curious about what you find out, as I soon will start trying to figure out a sevcon too. A size 6 and a qs 180 90h, I hope to end up in the 40kw range. Around 18 would be very disappointing  A pro...

Re: KHB - Honda CR125

I think the bike seems expensive for an old bike. Cant you find a newer one with a blown engine or something for less money? The battery pack, just no. If it is built for 60A discharge a change of bms wont make it suitable for 200A. Other than that I think your original plans were good. I dont think...

He still has it installed on his bike, runs fine, no problem. I believe he's not very active on the forum, but he's much more reactive on wechat, so if you have an account I can add you into our ebike group then you could ask him directly. I'll try to ask him to check this thread tomorrow. Thanks, ...

I believe they are lazer welded, look at the passat modules in my yamaha thread.

Any idea what those terminals are made of? Spot welding may be difficult. Whatever those cells were made for must have had a way to connect them. It would be nice to see how somebody else connected them.

Yes, exactly. How it is modified, and what is is used to control it. Do you know if the same can be done to the R4850G? I have one of those that is modified so it can be adjusted to 120v (from 0 I think?) And 0-25A with potentiometers. It is nice, except the fan goes full speed and is very noisy. A...
