Re: Speedict neptune lite

That's right, but see the remark above. perhaps the motor controller has some peculiar circuit which rises the voltage on the terminal, I really don't know. >>> could you detach Neptune and Speed Controller and make its LOADING terminal ? But this is not what actually happened yesterday morning. As...

Re: Speedict neptune lite

Alright, now I tested the charging again and a very strange behaviour happened. I first connected the charger to the Neptune and powered the charger and everything was fine, the charging began and I let it charge a few minutes and then disconnected the charger from the mains outlet. >>> when no CHA...

Re: Speedict neptune lite

I just installed the neptune 15 on a kick scooter with a new 14S3P battery. It's a neat unit and fits pretty good in a smallest of space. Works otherwise fine, but I discovered last night that the charging doesn't begin automatically when the charger is powered up. Only after I recycled power on th...

Re: Speedict neptune lite

can you post your retrofit board here as I want to take a look and confirm if it is phase 1 or phase 2 hardware, and what is your rated current ? ~100A perhaps I can set you one set with 1mOhm resistor built-in. Re: Speedict neptune lite

Hi Danny, cool idea. using 1 mOhm resistors will result in 4x 0.625 Watts at 4x25 Amps, my solution in 8x 0.625 Watts at 8x 12.5 Amps. your solution is really better - resulting in less heat. all displayed values would be a quarter of the actual values. yep, heat is the real enemy :? anyways handli...

Re: Speedict neptune lite

But you can add 4x R004 SMD 2512 shunt resistors ( one for each mosfet, I simply soldered it over the 4 existing ones and 2 additional - black 14AWG wires for the higher current and 1 additional + red wire outside Neptune. Additionally I added more solder to all 8 drain mosfet pins). This results i...

Hi there,

I just got hands on the neptune 15 and I was wondering if there a way to bypass the max discharge current? 50A is not enough for my setup.

Cheers
if bypass it, all protections such as over current, cell under voltage will be stopped, and charging won't start.

Re: Speedict neptune lite

Thank you for the review of the Neptune 15! We would like to incorporate it into designs where the individual cell leads may not be available. Hi Speedict - Just curious if you guys have a 20s, higher amperage version of the Neptune in the works. There was mention on your FB page of a 20s version in the works. Thanks!
could you send your message to us ? at least I can put you to our beta users list first, thanks for your help !

Re: Speedict neptune lite

Ok great. I'm running peaks of 50A, so that's good. I look forward to receiving and trying this out. I will be running it on a 15S4P HG2 pack. Currently out of balance due to a previous BMS letting me down. I intend to give this battery quite a thrashing, so will post my findings here. in the mean ...

Re: Speedict neptune lite

Thanks for the info. What is the maximum current of the Neptune 15. I just bought one without checking! I am running high current, so it may not be usuable on this particular project.
it is 60A
